Up, up, and away! 🎈✨
Central Oregon truly outdid itself for Balloons Over Bend this past weekend. There is nothing quite like watching these massive, colorful giants float gracefully against our high-desert landscape.

I stood out in the crisp morning air to capture the magic of the sunrise launches, and the play of light on the nylon was an absolute dream to shoot.

Chasing hot air balloons is a fast-paced test of composition, framing, and light management as they rise and drift away. My Nikon Z6iii and the 24-120mm f/4 S lens made the perfect combo once again, allowing me to instantly switch from wide-angle landscape shots to tight, detailed crops of the burners roaring to life.

A look behind the craft at Bend Cider Co. 🍏🪵

I recently had the incredible opportunity to step into the back-end production space of one of our favorite local cideries. From the crisp apples to the final pour, seeing the dedication, precision, and passion that goes into every batch was truly inspiring.

Documenting the raw, hardworking moments of local businesses is one of my absolute favorite projects. There is so much beauty in the process before the product ever hits the shelf. Huge thanks to the team at Bend Cider Co. for letting me capture their magic in motion! 🍻

Back for round two with my favorite buzzing subjects! 🐝✨
After my last bee post, I couldn't resist getting back out there to document these incredible pollinators again.

There is something so rewarding about capturing their fast, deliberate movements.

For the photographers out there, I shot these with my Nikon Z6iii paired with the 24-120mm f/4 S lens. It is proving to be an incredibly versatile setup for capturing crisp, unexpected nature details on the move.

It's easy to overlook these tiny workers until you stop and watch them for a while. Every flower visit, every hover, every landing tells a story of constant motion and purpose. Moments like these are a reminder that nature is always busy—you just have to slow down enough to notice.

Nothing beats the art of a perfect bake—except maybe capturing it in the perfect light! Had the absolute pleasure of swinging by Idle Hands Pizza Co. (Idle Hands Pizza Co) parked at the PANTRY to snap some commercial shots of their wood-fired magic🍕

If you haven’t been yet, you are seriously missing out on some of the best artisan pizza in Bend. They are doing things the right way—hand-crafted, scratch-made dough, perfectly blistered crusts, and top-tier ingredients that make every single pie a masterpiece.

The textures on these pizzas are an absolute dream to photograph, but they taste even better than they look. And yes, of course I had to eat the props! 😉

Took a break behind the lens to crush a couple of their classic cheese slices. The perfect cheese pull, incredible flavor, and that signature wood-fired char—10/10, hands down.Do yourself a favor and head over to the Westside to grab a pie. You can even bring it inside the PANTRY to pair it with a glass of wine or a mocktail! 🍷✨

Behind every frame of smiling family harmony is a 10-minute negotiation, two brothers locked in a silent headlock, and a mom whispering "I will take away your car keys" through a clenched, perfect smile. 😅

This beautiful session with Mom, Dad, and their two older sons was a perfect reminder that the best family portraits aren't the ones where everyone sits perfectly still. They are the ones that capture the real, messy, beautiful energy of your life right now. Yes, there was a little resistance at first. Yes, there was some brotherly bickering between shots. Watching Mom and Dad laugh through the chaos and lean into the fun reminded me why I love this job so much! Between the eye rolls and the teasing, we found these beautiful, quiet moments where the deep bond they all share completely shined through.
