For those of you who missed the yesterday, I just wanted to share one of my pics. I got super lucky with the weather in the ochoco mountains and I'm pretty happy with the results. Still can't believe how well you can see the suns magnetism.

Our hotel terrace had a direct line of sight with the Taj Mahal, it was hard to see with the naked eye around midnight but the camera didn't have any issues with a long exposure. Loved the way the city lights combined with fog to light the scene

"The Blue Pool"

An absolutely breathtaking (in more ways than one) pond located on the McKenzie River. This spot is famous for it's crystal clear water and perfect stillness.

It's an easy two mile hike up the McKenzie River trail following alongside the river. When you reach the the pool, you will first be taken completely by surprise with the beauty. Soon after you may wonder where the River is flowing from, what gives this spot it's perfectly clear water is that 2 miles "upstream" the McKenzie River goes under ground and it is here at Tamolitch Pond that the Water pushes back to the surface. For this reason the water is also very, very cold.

It is considered a right of passage to jump into the pool, which is rather deep despite looking shallow, and then swim to the shore on the left side of this picture.

This shot was my first attempt at an idea I've been kicking around for awhile, taking several sets HDR photos and then merging them into a panoramic. This image is the product of 15 raw images processed to create a scene closer to the way our eyes perceive it.

A friend and photographer was out visiting Oregon for the weekend. We decided to head up to Crater Lake to try and get some Astro shots of the Milky way and then head up the following morning for for the sunrise. It was extremely cold and the wind was whipping, but the views always trump the cold!

"Happy Birthday Mom!"

For my Mom's birthday she asked for a photo of our lake house to hang up down in the Caribbean. I decided to take my first serious milky way shot as it passed over the house at 3am. Love the stars and the ambiance of this childhood home!

Love you Mom!

"The Week's End"

This time of year the waves seem to cater towards towards a simple softness in the Caribbean, though all that will change if this hurricane on the horizon makes the predicted landfall.

After spending a couple years in the Charleston, I've learned to appreciate these rare beaches that are easy to reach and yet remain uncrowded, even during the sunset hours. Maria's is a fantastic spot with a great bar, live music, oyster carts and still hangs onto the tranquility and seclusion of a hidden getaway.

Noticed the dust had died down and the clouds were breaking away the other night. Decided to pull out the camera and see if I could capture a bit of the milky way. Not as nice if I had ran out to the mountains and camped through the night but still cool to get a pic of some stars.

6 shots merged with Adobe Panorama, Canon 6D w/ 24-105L, 24mm,15 [email protected],ISO 1600

A wonderful spot to enjoy the didn't get much of a sunset but the clouds had plenty of character to make up for it. When you get done watching the sun go down at Maria's the Calypso Bar just behind make for a nice spot to finish your unwinding for the day. — Playa Maria's, Rincón, Puerto Rico

A little bit more dramatic of a shot from the other night at pools. Hope these summer storms keep rolling through.
