Some wedding days just leave a mark on your heart, and Derek and Mindy’s was one of them. 🤍

Set in the most beautiful backyard filled with gorgeous flowers, every detail felt so personal and full of love. The way these two looked at each other all day said everything—you could truly see how deeply in love they are. I especially loved watching the groom look at his bride; those little moments spoke louder than words.

One of the sweetest surprises of the day was when the bride’s daughter sang for their first dance. There wasn’t a dry eye around. It was such a beautiful reminder that weddings aren’t just about two people joining together, but about families becoming one.

Last year I planted two rows of zinnias and learned so much along the way. This year, we’ve tripled the flower garden and added so many new varieties! 🌸🌼

Some sneak peeks from a truly special wedding in Edenton 🤍

Nick & Addy’s wedding day was so beautiful 🤍

This one meant more than I can fully put into words. I had the incredible honor of photographing the wedding of a photographer’s daughter — someone who played such an important role in my own journey. She was there when I was just starting out, Anna Spruill (Addy’s mom) took my senior photos and helped me with my senior project and guiding me in choosing my very first camera and lens.

To now be trusted with capturing such a meaningful day for her family feels so full-circle and deeply humbling. It’s moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place — the connections, the stories, and the privilege of preserving them.

So grateful to have been a small part of something so beautiful.
