Shane Smith Photography I get to photograph cool stuff! Shane Smith Photography specializes in a wide variety of subject matter to create compelling and beautiful images.

Sports, Live Events, Documentary, Portraits, Landscapes, and sometimes even a Wedding or two. You name it, I will and can probably shoot it. I've worked with everything from professional hockey teams, event arenas, and multi million dollar corporations, local schools and businesses, to Portraits of kids, high school seniors, families and pets. I would describe my style as a more photo journalistic

with an artistic eye. I am an observer, a people watcher and am able to use that to my advantage. I am easy to work with, and go out of my way to make my clients happy. Prints are available as well as most of my images can be licensed for commercial print and digital use. Please contact me with any questions. I will personally respond in a timely manner. Since a kid I have always loved cameras and photos, but never realized what a gift I actually had until just a few years ago. (2008) Having an eye towards new media initiatives; such as Adobe's DNG & CR2 formats (Digital Negative & Camera Raw), HDR images (High Dynamic Range) and nondestructive image editing techniques, I am a completely self-taught photographer and media developer and am always looking for new ways to push my creativity and knowledge for my love of photography. I take my pictures pretty seriously and put forth my very best effort into each and every shoot and assignment I am a part of. I spent the day recently on the banks of the Mississippi River photographing Bald Eagles. I will take hundreds of photos throughout the day but most people only see the small hand full of polished images I decide to call keepers. I thought this might be a neat way to let everyone see what I saw thru the corse of the day. A sort of photo timelapse slideshow.

Here is a few Best of pics from what I saw at the Fair on Friday. ATV races, A different perspective of the Percheron Thunder show ( I climbed up on top of someones RV that was parked right up against the fence ), and a couple shots from the Bull riders.

Members of the Boone County Fair committee got together at the ATV races for a friendly little Golf Cart race. I'm not sure who won, they all cheated! LOL
My photos I took with really slow shutter speeds so it gives the photos that racing or motion look to them. A style of photo I really love doing.
