Making Mermaid Dreams Come True ✨
​Who says magic isn't real? 🌅
​Sometimes, as a photographer, you get a request that completely steals your heart. When my sweet little Abbby told me she wanted to be a mermaid, we knew we had to find the absolute perfect, sun-kissed rocky shore to bring her vision to life.
​Just look at that pure joy! 🌊 From her stunning colorful fin to her little mermaid doll companion, she completely rocked this sunset session. Capturing her big smile and magical imagination against this gorgeous golden hour glow was an absolute dream. 📸💛

Looking through old photos today and found this absolute gem! 📸✨
​Even back in my younger years, I was completely obsessed with capturing moments. Long before it was my professional life, my camera was attached to my hip because I was just so determined to make sure we had photos to remember every single fleeting moment of our family. 🤍
​Take a look at my three oldest here—they were just 16 months, almost 3, and almost 4 years old. My youngest, Jeremy, wasn't even born yet! It feels like a whole lifetime ago.
​And honestly, looking at this picture , I have to laugh because apparently, my love for a little creative juxtaposition started early! Notice anything funny? It’s a hot summer day, the kids are in shorts sitting right in front of the kiddie pool... and they are all piled onto a winter snow sled. 🧊☀️ I guess I've always loved finding that little bit of unexpected magic and contrast in a frame!
​Time moves way too fast, but I am so incredibly grateful for these frozen moments in time. 💕

​As an artist, it is so easy to get comfortable doing what you know. Today was all about breaking that pattern. I tried a new technique to bring out a gritty, moody depth, fully trying to embrace my creativity as an artist without any rules.
