Hello Friends,
As you can see I’ve been doing a little rebranding. I wanted to give you all a little update on how things have been going so far.
This past February I officially made my photography an LLC. Paid the fees, got the logos, media kit, the works. I’m hoping in three years time (five if I really need to push it), that I can implement Aperture 5. This is my immersive photography program, in which I help students ages 15 to 18-years-olds refine their photography skills. These students would come out with me to help local businesses refresh their branding. Rather it’s pictures for their website or someone that can run their social media while they spend time focused on running their business – My LLC is available for hire.
Now I realized during my time of putting this all together that I was missing one key component. I needed to establish relationships with these local businesses. I’ve been going out, I’ve been asking the questions: “Hey, who runs your social media?”, “Do you have a social media presence?” , or even “What would it look like if you outsourced this part of your business and it was affordable?"
And I get it, I mean, what is affordable? Cause what the boutique needs shot and filmed is not going to be the same as the weird bar downtown. That’s where I truly want this to be something that both parties are satisfied with. I want to help small businesses be seen and in return they’re providing a service for the community and the community is helping this business thrive, but they can’t do that if they don’t know the business exists there and the only press coverage they got was a 60 second slot on the local news station.
Everyone deserves to have their cup filled. Everyone including myself. It took me a while to understand that, but If I keep filling everyone’s cup, I’d have nothing left. That’s why community is important. We’re all here to get our cup filled and we need to keep continuously pouring into each other to continue to thrive.
I know this has been a long read and thank you to those who stuck through it all. I greatly appreciate your time and your help as I get all sorted out. I want to try to put out updates more frequently as this develops. I do have a website. It’s very new. Still needs to be polished, but hey! It’s something.
Thanks for stopping by!
Alexandra
