I could talk for 5 days straight about this show and it wouldn't even scratch the surface of how unbelievably awesome it was. An emotional roller coaster - tears, goosebumps and complete awe of what I was seeing, hearing and feeling. Still hands down, this band puts on the best live show I have ever seen and I am this close >< to saying the hell with it and going to the 2nd show tonight!

Currently finishing up...
the rest of the shots from last night. Most of the time we get to shoot the first 3 songs but last night we were only able to shoot the first song at the soundboard. There was so much energy from the crowd and such a huge voice from her that I felt a bit giddy. She truly is amazing and I am thankful for the one song I got to shoot! More to come!

Joywave at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, Tx 10.18.19

I discovered this band in Arizona at Pot of Gold Fest. I was there to see Bastille and we were there all day in order to get a spot at the stage. They were the first band to go on - it was still daylight, it was hot and my feet were numb from standing in one spot for so long. These guys blew me away with their music and energy!! I was an instant fan and have been ever since! And now, here they are 5 years later opening for Bastille!! They are supposed to go on a headlining tour next year - hoping they come back to Houston! ;) ;)

I haven't posted any of these because to be honest, I was not very happy with them. But some are starting to grow on me. Lighting was a bit difficult. Either that or I have lost my ability to shoot concerts and/or my camera/lenses have taken a low-light crap on me. All three would be a nightmare...Whatever it is, I hope I get my mojo back.

I love the background of this shot and the silhouette.
