Happy Monday!

Finished up a wedding gallery this past weekend. The extrovert in me loves the day of weddings but there’s something about putting my headphones in, making myself a hot tea, and spending all evening editing. If you’re a photographer, which is your favorite: taking the photos or editing the photos?

Did you and your partner have your first date in a coffee shop? ☕️ Is there an out of the ordinary spot that is special to you both? You don’t have to get married in a church or on top of a mountain if that’s not your thing. Get married wherever feels natural to you.

This ended up being a last minute rainy day back up plan but getting married at was so perfect for these two. 10/10 would recommend eloping in your favorite coffee shop. ✨

You don’t have to throw every wedding tradition out the window but you can also pick and choose which ones feel special to YOU.

In this case it was her mother’s wedding veil. 😍

Why have one cake when you could have nine? I would be lying if I didn’t say that one of my secret (not so secret now) favorite parts of weddings is eating a slice of cake. 🤪🎂

I know this is controversial but I LOVE carrot cake so if you’re having that at your wedding… count me in. Anyone else like carrot cake or is it just me?

📣 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

I had a baby 👶🏽 oh wait? Did y’all already know that? Well, now it’s officially official because I made a post.

I’ve been a little MIA on here after the baby but there’s been so much happening! The summer wedding season is blowing by and I’ve already gotten to photograph some truly incredible couples. There’s more to come, including me being a little more active on here. 😉

2022 is just around the corner, and I’m already dreaming, brainstorming, and planning it! I can’t wait to share all the new fun things I’ll be introducing next year for my couples.

Talk about CUTE families. 😍 I recently got to photograph the Poindexter’s Mobile Auto Detailing family for a project and ummm... WOW. They are the nicest family. Their twins are full of so much energy and joy. I LOVE IT.

If you need your car detailed, the Poindexters are who need to talk to because they will go above and beyond to get the job done. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Today was my last “official” photo shoot before maternity leave 😢 very bittersweet but I just a few more galleries to finish and then it’s BABY TIME! 🤰🏽🤱🏽 (Baby K should be here sometime in March!!!)

I’m there to capture the laughs AND the tears. This couple had lots of both. I hear a lot of vows but this couple really WENT OFF on theirs, even I started crying. Safe to say, my job is the coolest. ✨

Honestly, sparklers never get old to me. I love the flair they add. Bubbles are also a nice touch if the send off is earlier in the day. What’s your favorite send off idea? Motorcycle ride? Fireworks? Solar-powered jet pack? 😂

Sometimes I get the honor of photographing some incredible weddings. This couple walked down the aisle to the sound of drums, spent the entire ceremony barefoot so they could feel Mother Earth beneath them as they pledged their love for each other, and then broke out into spontaneous dance after they were announced husband and wife.

Let’s just say that I spent most of the day CRYING.

This a friendly reminder to do whatever makes you feel the most YOU on your wedding day. This is your day, so make it special.
