Japan.

My happy face to be traveling internationally again. While I have been so lucky to have gotten the chance to see all corners of this world, our kids have yet to feel that feeling that travel brings. We want our kids to grow up understanding we’re just a small part of this beautifully vast, and yet so connected, world. We want them to see themselves in others and see that, together, we all make this world go round.

We are grateful for the opportunity and privilege we have to embark on this journey.

Now, to the planning! I’ll take all the advice you have for our giant journey to Japan! ❤️

Oh, what a season it has been!

We’ve been on trains, planes and automobiles. We’ve exchanged Christmas gifts, cousin hugs, seen our first big stage Nutcracker and fell head over heels for Mary Poppins.

I have high hopes for 2025. I hope your 2025 is starting off beautifully. ❤️

I decided to really throw Instagram for a loop after being MIA for months. I’m back in the game baby.

Photograph -> answer a million questions from my kids -> buy more snacks -> repeat. No time for the insta.

Our local mountain got 50 inches of snow in 2 days.

Winter is back. Pow-a-bunga people are saying and I am here for it.

But please, keep the winter on the mountain. I was not prepared for the snow to come down to sea level this morning. I need spring and flowers down here!

I remember being so utterly exhausted that I would find the light in the room and stand in it. Soak it in. As if the sunshine was giving me an ounce of energy to keep moving through the day with these teeny tiny little babies.

I’d close my eyes, feel my skin absorb the light and breathe deeply. It’s remarkable how restorative it was.

And still, if I’m feeling exhausted or overwhelmed, I find the sun or just go outside (thank you PNW winter) and breathe it in. Try it. It’s a game changer.

Enter the fresh 48. The hospital wrist band, the signature hospital blanket, the details of a room you just spent hours in while bringing a life into this world. Photographing this journey starting right where it all began.

It’s funny how when I was in this stage; one sleepy little newborn, I thought the house was too quiet. I would lazy around snuggling with a baby, go for long peaceful walks and read books while she was wrapped on my chest.

Now, if the house is quiet for more than 5 minutes, it’s because someone somewhere is doing something they know they’re not supposed to do. Quiet makes me nervous now. 🤣
