I was finally able to get out and get some photos of the Milkyway with some dahlias at Amber | Bellingham Flower Farm . These are my favorite 4 shots from my time out there. Each one of these images is 2 photos combined into 1. I took a photo of the flower then refocused and took the sky image.
If you look really closely, 2 images have a surprise in the background, can you find the surprise?

Just a quick dahlia (correct name is 'I'm a Hottie'') with the Twin Sisters in the background.
Did you know that there is a dahlia festival going on Aug 30th and that it is just a hop and skip from Bellingham?
Thats right, Bellingham Flower Farm is having a dahlia festival from 12-5 on Aug 30th and I am a vendor there! I will have my wildlife photos and some brand new flower photos there. I hope to see you there!

I got to watch the Canadian Forces Snowbirds show from just south of the border yesterday. They were part of the Abbotsford Air Show this weekend.
Found out from a friend that this is the last year for these aircraft that they have been using for the past 55+ years. The Snowbirds will not be back in the air until the 2030s.
Here are a few of the images I was able to capture.

Just a few of the images I captured when I visited an Osprey nest with 3 babies. Dad was a great provider bringing in fish after fish. The little ones were testing out their wings in between meals.

Had a great time last night at Amber | Bellingham Flower Farm getting some photos for the Dahlia Festival on Aug 30th.
Ripley kept us entertained with all of her ctazy running around while Amber and I chatted about the farm and the flowers.

Just a couple of Common Loon teaser images from last week. Had such a great experience with 2 Common Loons and ended up with a bunch of great images. I will try to not go to loony over the loon images.

Some recent images of local pond celebrity and master of the pond, Vinny.
No I did not name Vinny, a regular to the pond came up and told me they named this Vinny and the name has stuck. I even find myself saying "Ya, I saw Vinny over there earlier" to others who don't even know I'm talking about a bird.

Thank you for an amazing first day at the festival! We look forward to another exciting day tomorrow! There will be a shuttle from Meridian High School. See you tomorrow, 7/12, from 10-7pm. 💜

Barred Owl adult looking for crawfish in the creek below them to feed the 2 hungry owlets in a nearby trees.
The other evening we were able to watch this parent bring 2 crawfish (one the caught in front of us) and the other parent bringing 2 other meals (bird and rodent) to the 2 owlets that were hanging out in the trees along the creek.
