so you decided to rent a cabin in the woods, right on the coast! one where you had your own private beach with tons of driftwood, where you can hear the wave crashing while you sleep.

and then you decided to spend the morning together making tea, before you go to a mossy rainforest around lunch time to stroll through some fern meadows off the beaten path (it was a secret spot your photographer recommended!).

your afternoon is full of berry picking and flower smelling, almost like any old day you’d spend in the woods together. doing the stuff you love.

so you lay in the ferns a while before quietly making your promises that you’ll keep for the rest of your life. with no one but the trees as your witnesses.

you might cry a little, and laugh a lot.

you might even decide it’s one of the best days of your life!

one of the most common questions we get as elopement photographers is “what if i still want some of the elements of a wedding and can’t imagine not having our favorite people there?”

and thankfully eloping doesn’t mean giving up the celebration or your fave people! it simply means you don’t need to have the full 100+ person wedding, or you could separate your wedding day from the party.
