I am beyond proud & honored to witness his joy, his growth, & his passion for life. . .
(Even if he tried to cancel our photoshoot 24 hours before.)

This photoshoot will always be one of my favorites & I will hold it dear to my heart because it really reminded me of how complex and sacred family bonds are.

Kailen, you will always be my little nephew who wanted rides to Wingstop and shared his middle school drama with me, regardless of how tall or how grown you get. I am so excited to witness you pursue all of your goals & dreams. I love you.

I’ve been exploring some concepts this year in my art. I’ve been digging deeper, tuning into my intuition, following Her voice. It’s led me to the exploring of myself & the world, through art. I have been exploring the beautiful things that make us human, lately.

Things that we need, yet fear: Intimacy, Love, Vulnerability, Connection.

The deeper I get into this, the more I learn that we are all beings, with faces & in bodies, but our spirit is the one that aches when we go without our needs go unfulfilled.
