Hey everyone!!! We still have a handful of the Dogs of Findlay 2026 Calendar available at Pet Wants Findlay Market!

Coming in for this month, we have Finn with Alex and Anna and Cleo with Michelle and Jacques!

We asked them to tell us a bit about their pups, and this is what they said:

Meet Finn. Adopted from the SPCA at just 9 weeks old and the tiniest of his litter, he may have started out shy—but don’t let that fool you. Finn is smart, sassy, generously affectionate once you earn it, extremely serious about treats, and fully believes weekends are reserved for Findlay Market. If you say “Do you wanna go to Findlay?” he will absolutely hold you to it. When he’s not there, he’s busy conducting backyard patrols, making sure everyone knows the premises are secured.

And....

Cleo is a two year old sesame Shiba Inu who is smart, spunky, and lets her presence be known by talking. She is even learning to say, "I love you!" Cleo is very friendly and loves all other dogs and humans. She can never get enough play time!

Cleo is a world traveler and has been to Italy, France, Mexico, and all over the US with her parents, Michelle and Jacques.

When at home, Cleo loves Findlay Market. She loves stopping at Pet Wants to see Katie for a piece of beef jerkey and "guarding" the door at Market Wines while her parents enjoy a wine tasting.

We understand that we are already into the 2026 year, but your contributions will be helping support !

Made my regular Sunday trip to the market today. Took the camera to work on some test shots for some upcoming shoots. Thought I'd capture some vibes with this one.

This is one of many pictures that I captured on my recent work trip to Guatemala. As I've said many times before, I am fortunate if I am able to get out and venture around at all. We were blessed this time to be taken to the city of Antigua on our last day of work. The hospitality that we were given was unmatched!

Like many of my multi day training sessions, you eventually create a bond with the people that you are working with. It's always bitter sweet at the end of the trip, knowing that you may never see or hear from the people that you have bonded with ever again.

I'm a personable kind of guy. I love to connect with people. Even if I struggle to speak their native language, I still find a way to find a relate with them. This recent group was awesome! Some of the best people that I've ever met!

I read some really sad news this morning while scrolling through my ig feed. My heart goes out to the family for the passing of Gus (pictured on right). I'm very grateful that he was part of and my Dogs of Findlay 2024 calendar.

I'm definitely going to miss seeing him while visiting the market.

Surprisingly, I have never really had many opportunities to venture around Louisville, Kentucky, despite it fairly close to Cincinnati. I have followed a few Louisville based photography pages throughout the years.

On my journey home a couple of weeks ago, I was passing through and decided to stop at a place that I always thought was intriguing. Unfortunately, the sky was not cooperating to capture any breathtaking images from top of the reservoir, but as I was leaving, the sun gave a little tease and peeked out of the clouds.

As of 8pm on Tuesday, April 7th, the Ohio River level was at 60.79 ft. This surpassed the flooding of 2018 of 60.5'. It was supposed to crest today, but I haven't anything official from the local news. Early this evening, my neighbors who live right near the water level said that they felt like it was still coming up some.

I'm fortunate that my house is far enough up my street that even the highest record flood of 80 feet in 1937 never reached it. Many of my neighbors have had to remove their water heaters and other items from their basements this week. Others weren't able to get to it in time and have lots of items that now must be disregarded due to contamination.

This is the second time that I've seen it get this high in the 20 years that I've lived on my street. The highest it has been in my life was in 1997 when it reached 64ft.

The images featured are the intersections of Frank Benke Way and Ward Ave and Frank Benke Way and Foote Ave in my neighborhood of Bellevue, KY.

I really don't know exactly why I saved this place on my Google Maps places. Maybe it was Hamburger America.

When my work called upon me to go on a service call out of state last week, I jumped on my saved places to see if there was anything worthwhile checking out.

Fate happened when I was finished with my work in Clarksville, TN, that I would have to drive through Hopkinsville, Ky. I knew then that I had to stop and try this place.

For one, I was really surprised with how active this little town was. I've driven many backroads in my days going through the small towns of our country, but this one was more bustling than others to my surprise.

In the end, I'm happy that I stopped here! The burgers were completely on point!!! Reminded me of the days of growing up in Dayton, Ky, and enjoying burgers at the Dayton Chili Parlor!

Princess Theatre
April 2, 2025
Hopkinsville, Kentucky

Originally named the Photoplay Palace, it opened on November 1911. It was renamed the Princess Theatre in 1913 but was destroyed by a fire in 1918.
Apparently, it was rebuilt but suffered yet another fire in 1942 and was remolded into the current Art Deco styling. It unfortunately closed as a theatre in 1972.

I noticed this on my drive home from an overnight service job that I was required to go on for my work, ironically for a movie theater customer. Having grown up with our own iconic neighborhood Art Deco theatre that shares the same fate current, I had to capture it.
