Here's a new image from a waterfall in Northern California that I've wanted to photograph for years. I finally made the trip last year and recently finished processing this high-resolution panoramic, which captures the intricate textures of a small section of these spring-fed falls. The details in this one are incredible, featuring delicate threads of water cascading down a moss-draped cliff into the river below.

I'll have this photo on display as a six-foot-wide ChromaLuxe metal print at art festivals around western Washington this summer and fall, beginning with the Edmonds Arts Festival on June 13-15. Limited-edition prints of this and my other new work are now available on my website as well.

I recently returned to Vancouver Island and spent a few days taking in the natural beauty there. I enjoyed revisiting and photographing this natural bonsai tree surviving on the remnants of a Douglas fir tree mostly submerged in a lake. While I was lucky to get some great conditions on this recent trip, I was reminded of a foggy morning I spent at the same spot a few years ago. Upon returning home, I decided to revisit my photos from that morning. This was my favorite capture from that day.

Here's another new photo from my recent trip to Hawaii. I visited this pier on Kauai's south coast two mornings in a row to give myself a chance of photographing it under different conditions. The first morning turned out to be the winner. Shortly after sunrise, the clouds formed these beautiful stripes that caught the early sunlight and created leading lines to the end of the pier. The ocean was calm, but I decided to go with a longer exposure time to smooth out the water even more and give the photo a dreamy look.

Here's a new one from a recent trip to Hawaii. My wife and I chose the "Garden Island" of Kauai for our first ever trip to Hawaii, and I captured this shot on beautiful Tunnels Beach (also known as Makua Beach) about an hour after sunrise on Christmas Eve. I had the beach mostly to myself as I scouted for compositions and waited for the warm morning light to illuminate Makana Mountain and eventually the beach itself, completing the scene I had envisioned.

Every October for the last several years, I've revisited the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains near Leavenworth to take in the autumn foliage. The conditions on this morning were particularly beautiful. Following a rainy start to the day, the clouds began to break and lift, creating a special moment. I took this photo during a brief transitional period before the clouds completely cleared out of the canyon.

Happy 125th birthday to Mount Rainier National Park! Here's a photo I captured at Paradise last fall on a beautiful evening. Some years are better than others, and the vibrant autumn colors last year were among the best I've seen there. I returned to photograph this spot multiple times while spending a relaxing weekend camping in the park. This particular evening, some light fog was present, adding some great atmosphere to the scene.

With the Fagradalsfjall volcano erupting once again in Iceland, here's a throwback to my 2021 visit. This was the first eruption in this area of Iceland in 800 years. I was fortunate to visit about halfway through the six-month eruption that occurred in 2021, and it was an awe-inspiring experience! Another eruption lasting a couple weeks occurred in 2022, and the new eruption a bit to the north just started yesterday. I don't know how long the new eruption will last or if I'll get an opportunity to see it in person, but I'll always remember this experience from two years ago.

This is one of the photos I'll have on display at the Redmond Arts Festival this weekend (July 14-16) in Redmond, Washington. It takes place at Redmond Town Center, and I'll be located in double booth 39-40.

This weekend, I'm returning to the Edmonds Arts Festival for my first showing of 2023! All the photos shown here will be displayed on ready-to-hang ChromaLuxe metal prints sized 24"x36" or larger. For the first time ever, I'll also have three brand new panoramic photos (also shown here) displayed on massive 24"x72" metal prints. As in previous years, I'll continue to offer a large selection of 8"x12" metal prints as well.

The festival takes place June 16-18 (this Friday-Sunday) at the Frances Anderson Center in Edmonds, Washington. I'll be in booth 513 this year, toward the western side of the field.

Hope to see you there! Thanks for your support!
