Has anyone else’s feed been overtaken by the Mariners ferry boat concessions?? I’m so obsessed, we’re going to a game in May & you better believe I will be getting fish & chips in a ferry, and then giving it a second life as a bath toy for my kids haha. What a perfect nod to our beautiful Puget Sound, I love this city ⛴️💙

Can I tell you a secret? Even as a photographer who knows the value of a full session, I opt for mini sessions for my own family. Why? Because between a 2 year old & a husband who’s not the biggest fan of the camera, I know it’s the perfect solution to get beautiful photos of my family, while also making sure my family doesn’t dread family pictures! Even before we had kids, our couples photos were mini sessions, because all I really wanted were a few photos to remember our current season of life. There will be a time when we can handle a full hour, but that’s just not what meets our needs right now.

So if you have a family of young kids, a partner with a different photo shoot tolerance than you, a budget that’s a little smaller right now, or just the itch for a some updated photos, a mini session this spring is just what you need.

When looking through my galleries for something green to share today, I had to go with Karin & her bridesmaids! Each girl chose their own attire, and it was so fun to see how their personalities were showcased. With gorgeous florals from and the lovely .meadows as their backdrop, these girls were the life of the party & I absolutely loved my time with them, especially when the dance floor opened up!

It’s already been almost been a year since these darling spring family photos! I always recommend picking a season that you love and taking family photos annually in that season- your efforts now will mean everything to your future self & children, when you look back on how your beautiful family changed year to year. I’m itching for our PNW spring, but trying to be grateful for these rainy days that give us our gorgeous greens 🫶🏻
