How do you to say goodbye to a parent
How do you find the words
How do you make it without either of them
Was their time enough
Was I enough
Does she know how much this hurts
Does she see the tears are falling
Like a steady rain upon my cheeks
Can I see you one last time before you go
Can I please just see your smile
Tell me this will be alright
That this hurt will somehow fade
I know that dad’s been waiting
And I know you want to see him too
You’ll always be my mother
But I need to know you felt it too
A love to last a lifetime
