This past Saturday, I photographed a very special wedding.. I've known Bonnie since I was 5 years old. She lived a few blocks over and we were in Girl Scouts together. We also had a lot of the same classes growing up. She was my friend up until we lost touch when she moved away in middle school. I moved away at the end of middle school and years went by.. We somehow miraculously found each other again as adults, which, the chances of that are still so slim.
Fast forward to Bonnie and Eric's engagement and receiving a message saying she wanted me to be their photographer.. Full circle! On top of that, they were getting married in the town that we grew up in, right down the street from the park that we played in constantly, across the street from the bakery that we went to all the time.. Talk about nostalgia. Saturday was an incredible day- Bonnie and Eric are so well matched and so perfect for each other. They were both so amazing to work with and it was great seeing her family again. More importantly, it was great to watch from behind the lens, my childhood friend marry her best friend, as I took these photos that will last for generations to come. Who knew that when we were working on crafts for swap meets, or when we were dancing to Cotton Eyed Joe or the Macarena at Girl Scout Camp, or even we sat next to each other in every class we had together, that we'd have this moment 30ish years later. Incredible how life works.
Please take a look at a few of my favorites from easily my favorite wedding of the year 🙂 Congrats Bonnie and Eric, and thank you so much again for allowing me to be a part of your perfect day.
