I’m back this week with another in-home newborn session, this time welcoming Alex and Jordan’s little one to the world!💗you might remember this sweet family from a month or so back (their maternity shoot was at Villanova).

In-home newborn sessions are absolutely the key to my heart. First and foremost, baby feels comfortable and safe because they’re in a familiar space and we can take breaks when needed. We’re able to capture these peaceful, cozy naps and snuggles without taking them out of their own environment.

We were also able to add unique touches that make the photos feel even more personal, like particular colors or stuffies like Pikachu. And I love that when you go to hang the photos on your wall, they’re not taking you to a different place—they’re enhancing the one you already have.

A big congrats to Alex and Jordan on the arrival of their little one! It was such a joy to photograph your growing family and I’m sending lots of love and positive thoughts your way🥰🌷

You might recognize Amy and Billy from a little while back—I posted photos from their maternity session at Winterthur in February. But this time, you’ll notice someone has joined them, and that is their sweet baby boy!🤍

I’m so excited to share these photos from part 2 of the Grasso’s Parenthood Collective membership. Having the chance to meet and photograph their newborn after all of the excitement and anticipation is such a meaningful and memorable experience. Their baby boy did feel a bit fussy when I went over the first time, but I was able to come back for a quick solo session another day when he was feeling better. And really, it’s moments like these that remind me what I do isn’t just running a business—it’s connecting with families, learning about their needs, and helping them document special moments, in whatever form that takes.

One week into this month and I’m realizing they were not kidding about April showers!🌧️

Even though the clouds and rain have been putting a little bit of a damper on my spring excitement, I wanted to take a moment to appreciate the role that weather plays in each of my sessions. We can plan a lot of the factors that go into a session—location, outfits, poses—but weather is one of the few things that we really can’t control. And while most of us would love a bright, sunny golden hour for our photos, I wanted to show that a rainy or cloudy day can also make for some absolutely beautiful images!

To make the most of any kind of weather, being prepared is THE most important thing. If there’s any chance of rain in the forecast, you better believe we’re bringing an umbrella or two. And if it’s cloudy out? We’ll find spots with pops of color to create unique, textured backgrounds.

I’ve photographed families in all kinds of weather for many years, and one thing I’ve learned is that celebrating your time with loved ones will always end up in unique, meaningful photos: rain or shine. So don’t be afraid if the forecast is looking different than you hoped!

But that being said, my fingers are crossed for some May flowers soon😜💐🩷

Friendly reminder that my summer books are open and filling up quickly!!!🩵

Believe it or not, beach season is right around the corner. In just a few months, I’ll be on my way to the beautiful Delaware beaches and back pretty much every day to document memories in motion.

Even though it can (and will) get busy, this is one of my favorite times of the year. Kids are out of school, grown-ups are ready for some vacation, and families are coming together to play under the sun. It can’t get better than that!

A quick peek at the Grassos’ maternity photos🍂🧡

This was such a lovely autumn session! Amy, Billy, and I explored the Winterthur Museum and Gardens in November to snap these photos, and I adore the fall foliage, twinkling fairy lights, and beautifully cohesive colors (look at that outfit coordination!).

In case you’re unfamiliar with it, Winterthur is a historic home and museum in Delaware. It’s surrounded by 1,000 acres of meadows and woodlands, which set a gorgeous, private scene for these photos. I especially love the shot of Amy and Billy holding hands by the reflecting pool—it was such a peaceful moment.

And in other news, I’ll be sharing the Grassos’ newborn session very shortly! Amy and Billy are part of the Parenthood Collective, a membership I offer that seeks to capture the journey of pregnancy through multiple sessions. I’m so excited and grateful to be documenting this incredible milestone for them. Thanks for bringing me along for the ride 💛

A very Philly family session🏙️

I’m not sure about you all, but the Eagles Super Bowl win is still on my mind, and so are these photos of the Mission boys in Center City!

We took these photos back in November (before winter jacket weather, as you can see), but I’m so excited to share these photos because of how fun and unique the location was. Mom wanted a spot that was a little different from where they’ve taken photos in the past, so she chose City Hall from my location guide, and the photos turned out so wonderfully! I love the fun colors and architecture of this iconic Philly spot. And of course, we had to get some shots in front of the LOVE sign and the gorgeous Suburban Station❤️it was so fun wandering around the area, getting to know the boys, and snapping some shots that captured each of their personalities!

These photos are perfect examples of why I love to curate my location guide. There are so many spots in the Philly and Delaware area that make such unique backdrops for family photos. It makes each session feel like its own little adventure. 🤩
