Once the gallery is accessed on a desktop, click on "Select Photos" Then proceed to click on the picture(s) you want to download (you can unclick the checkmark if you accidentally click a picture you didn't intend to click). Once you click on a picture you can download it by clicking the "Download" link in the upper right corner. This will allow you to download the digital file and save it to anywhere on your computer. If you select more than one image it may download in a zip folder.
When downloading from a cell phone, click on an image and then click on the download icon on the bottom right side of the image. You have to download each picture individually on a cell phone. Can't download multiple images at once.
