Some days, you photograph a wedding, other days you photograph a science fair, a dance party, and a love story all rolled into one!

The Franklin Institute was an amazing space for Erin and Nick’s Wedding, and I want to go back!

Between the pendulum swings and the planetarium glow, this whole night felt like proof that the best weddings break the rules a little. Or, you know, all of them.

Sun-warmed cheeks, grass stains, and some “wait, do it again!” moments are my fave. This little crew showed up ready to be a family, not pose like one. IMO, that’s where the magic lives.

Spring in the DMV has a way of making everything feel a little special. Give me the messy in-between moments over a stiff smile any day.

Step one: meet at the National Cathedral.

Step two: pretend we’re in a small European garden for an hour.

Step three: walk to the nearest bar and toast to the fact that you’re getting married. A solid blueprint, if you ask me.

PSA: your engagement photos do not have to happen in a field at golden hour. (they can if you want! but your favorite booth at your favorite bar is a love story too.)

Some days you don’t have to chase the moments. They come find you!

Every relationship has its own inner language, and for Boo and Rob, lemons and pretzels are a part of that shared language. They even have tattoos of them, and a lemon purse was a part of the vibe for the day.

Imagine our surprise when we wrapped the session with a celebratory cocktail and we were greeted with a lemon perched on the rim, accompanied by a bowl of pretzels on the side!

You can’t script this stuff. You can only show up, pay attention, and document it, and I loved every minute of this one!

Hannah and Alex threw a spring wedding at DAR and somehow made one of the most iconic buildings in DC feel like the most intimate room in the world.

Marble, magnolias, and a couple who could not stop looking at each other. A perfect day in DC!

Night one of a destination wedding in the Algarve, Portugal, and they went hard!

I love a welcome party! It’s such a fun way to visit with all your guests before the heightened emotions of the big day!

If you can swing it, eat, drink, and be merry with your crew before the i-do!

Winter weddings in libraries were made for love like this.

Black tie, deep greens and creams, and two grooms who couldn’t stop smiling! What’s not to love!? The George Peabody Library in Baltimore was the most perfect backdrop for a winter wedding this gorgeous, and I’m still not over it.

Among my favorite DC Wedding Venues, Dock 5 is definitely up there! With the prime location in Union Market, there is so much to do and see with your wedding photos!

Rain ✔️ Cold ✔️ Sleet ✔️ Snow ✔️ All in one day!

Gabriela and Carlos eloped at the DC War Memorial, and the weather said ‘challenge accepted’.

Their families are from Puerto Rico and Florida, and weren’t ready for so much cold, but even though we changed plans quite a bit to match the moment, we stayed flexible and present, and I got to follow these two through every moment of a wonderful day!

There’s something about a couple who laughs through the chaos that tells you everything you need to know!
