A good rule of thumb: Reach out when your baby is around 9 months old so we can start planning all the fun details. 🎂

There’s usually more involved than people think: ordering the cake, picking outfits, and making sure your gallery is ready in time if you want to use the photos for invitations or party decor.

The best time to reach out for newborn photos is during pregnancy, ideally in your second or early third trimester. We hold a spot based on your due date, then once the baby arrives, we firm up the exact session date. Pregnant? Reach out now!

I’ve been seeing a lot of talk lately about newborn photography “changing,” and I’ve had a lot of thoughts about it.

Some say it’s become more natural now, less posed, more real. And while styles definitely shift depending on the photographer, I don’t think the heart of newborn photography has changed the way people think it has.

It feels more like the conversation has gotten a bit boxed in, like there’s suddenly only one “right” way to photograph a newborn. And I don’t really agree with that.

Most moms book their newborn photographer after the baby arrives. Here's why that's the one thing I'd change if I could:

The sweet spot is usually 7 to 14 days after birth. During that time, babies tend to sleep more deeply and are often more settled. After that, gas can ramp up, baby acne starts to show, and some babies begin dealing with colic.

They’re more alert, more sensitive, and those serene newborn poses can be harder to get. If you’re expecting, book before baby arrives so we can hold a spot for you!
