If taking photos and videos is one of the many things you handle for your business, this workshop is for you.

I’m partnering with Bedford County Development Association on October 20 for a hands-on workshop focused on best practices for phone photography and video for business.

Some things we’ll cover:

• Setting up your phone for the best photo and video quality
• Simple framing, lighting and composition
• Creating an easy shot list for your business
• Wide → medium → detail and photo sequences
• Shooting short video clips that are ready to use
• Photographing people naturally while they work
• Putting photos and clips together into an engaging post

We’ll also do some short photography exercises, so bring your phone and something from your business to photograph — a product, tool, packaging, equipment, company vehicle, etc.

The goal is to give you a simple set of best practices you can actually repeat during a normal workday — whether you’re the owner doing everything yourself or the person responsible for marketing.

Better photos and video give you more useful content to stay visible, show what you do and build familiarity and trust with your customers.

Business owners, marketing teams, nonprofits and event coordinators — join ADAPT Creative next Tuesday at Spring Dam Brewing Co. for a free workshop on creating photo and video content for your business or organization.

Charlie will share tips and tricks for shooting photos and video with your phone that are engaging, build trust, and help grow your business or organization.

This will be hands-on, so bring your phone. We’ll shoot some stuff, make some mistakes, probably take a couple selfies, and you’ll leave knowing what to do the next time you need content.

We spent the week in DC at the ASCRS Annual Meeting capturing behind-the-scenes content for Ocubio.

First year as a company.
First time exhibiting.
And they were packed with attention.

Their approach to dry eye?
It’s not a tweak—it’s a completely different way of thinking about treatment, using each patient’s own biology to create a custom solution.

Watching surgeons stop, ask questions, and really engage… that’s the kind of moment you can’t fake.

Two days. One conference. A full library of content.

We were in DC at the ASCRS Annual Meeting working with Ocubio for their first time exhibiting.

Instead of just showing up and taking photos, we focused on capturing content they can continue to use:
• Interviews
• Short-form clips
• Candid moments
• Booth and networking coverage

We also delivered select images in real time so they could start using content immediately.

Strong few days with a great team.

Worked with the Stevenson University Fashion Design program to create story-driven videos for each senior designer—highlighting their concept, process, and final collection.
