Photo of a polar bear taken North of Svalbard at approximately latitude 81.7 degrees north. So with in a few hundreds of miles of the north pole. It was very foggy at the time so a little soft but was very exciting to see this bear.

Some photos from our last day at Olympic National Park. We hit Ruby beach, Kalaloch Big Cedar Trail, Beach 4 for tide pools, and last stop to see Lake Quinault. We wanted to eat at the Salmon house overlooking the lake but it was closed. Ended up eating at the Uptown Grill in Olympia which was really good.

We spent our mid-day at Realto Beach. It has stunting sea stacks rising out of the ocean. At the far end of the beach ...

We spent our mid-day at Realto Beach. It has stunting sea stacks rising out of the ocean. At the far end of the beach there is a bald eagle nesting on top of a tall point rock jutting up out of the beach.

Morning of day 2 we went early to Hoh Rain Forest to enjoy some soft light on the moss-covered trees. I highly recommen...

Morning of day 2 we went early to Hoh Rain Forest to enjoy some soft light on the moss-covered trees. I highly recommend this hike through the hall of mosses at Hoh Rain Forest.
