This little baby is so lucky—these two together radiate love and warmth. Being around them honestly feels like one big bear hug 🥹

We’ve been a little quiet on here, and I wanted to share why—because behind the camera, we’re human too.

The past season has been full: busy sessions, life things, burnout sneaking in, and wrapping up final papers as I (Steph) juggle school alongside this business we love so much. Somewhere in all of that, social media took a back seat so we could take care of ourselves and stay present where it mattered most.

This new year feels like a breath of fresh air. We’re feeling grounded again, creatively inspired, and ready to show up more intentionally. We’ve captured so many beautiful moments with the most incredible clients, and we can’t wait to start sharing more of those stories with you.

Thank you for being here, for your patience, and for supporting a small business run by real people with real lives. We’re so grateful for this community, and we’re really excited for what’s ahead 🤍

We had the honor of capturing Taylor and Zach Smithee’s wedding in 2021. They were two souls deeply rooted in faith, love, and a shared wonder for God’s creation. They transformed a van into their home and traveled together, chasing beauty and living life fully.

On May 21st, Zach went home to the Lord after a courageous journey with stage 4 brain cancer. He was just 29, yet the peace and wisdom he carried in his final months spoke volumes. He believed this life is fleeting…a glimpse of the eternal story God is writing.

Cody and I felt a strong pull to reach out to Taylor and offer to photograph Zach’s celebration of life. What we didn’t know was that, just moments before, her family had been talking about needing a photographer but didn’t know where to turn. When our message came through, they cried, knowing it was God’s perfect timing. Hearing how it all unfolded, we couldn’t help but feel that this was no coincidence, it was part of something greater. A quiet reminder that He is always near, even in the hardest moments.

We’ve now finished the album, two sacred chapters, side by side: their wedding day and the celebration of Zach’s life…a story of love, faith, and eternal hope.

Taylor and Zach left a lasting impression on our hearts. As we share this, we ask that you join us in lifting Taylor, Zach, and their families in prayer for comfort and peace that only He can provide.

Zach, your life reflected God’s grace. May your legacy continue to shine through every soul you touched. Taylor, we’re holding you in our hearts and prayers, always.
