It doesn’t snow in Beaufort,SC. But cold winds, rain and a couple of days of freezing temps is still unpleasant.

== The Dogs 🐶 Of HABERSHAM Bid Farewell To One Of It’s First ==

With over 200+ pups the DOH has added to its roster over the last six years, there’s one standout that holds a special place for me. One because he was the first whose name I committed to memory (Brogan), and two because he was one of the most lovable pups you’d ever want to me.

Owned by Jo & Ray Betraitus, hewas a Wheaten, a pure-bred terrier, a breed that originates in Ireland.

He follows his sis Hannah over the Rainbow Bridge, another sweetheart who was difficult to say goodbye to.

I know it’s hard to bid farewell to our pups, but as they say, there’s no end to any of us whose name is spoken out loud. So please, please join the the rest of us Habbershammers with a call-out to Brogan in private or public. And don’t be surprised if you get a ‘woof’ back.

== A Dog Named Kitty ==

The DOGS 🐶 OF HABERSHAM welcomes its very first kitty.

Found as a rescue two years ago, this 7-yr old Shih Tzu came into her own with the help of Ann Williamson who acknowledged this dog was named “Kitty” when rescued —so no reason to change it. Plus, if one “meow’s” close ro her, she comes to attention very quickly.
