Babymooning in Hilton Head 🏝️

I enjoyed meeting Noel and Nick while on their trip to the island. They were so sweet and they went right along with my ideas and were just such a joy to work with! When we first met and I was introducing myself and they introduced themselves she was like "my name is Noel and his name is Nick, we both have Christmas names" and I just loved that. Needless to say I'll never forget their names now. 😂

Mama's, if 7:00pm or later is too late for sunset photos based on your kids' schedule, consider a sunrise shoot! Sunrise works great if your kids are more morning kiddos. It may be a rough wake up call getting up before the sun to get yourself and the kids ready but once the photos are done you are able to get right into the day! Photos are done, kids aren't sleepy, the day has just begun and you can end the session in the water and then get them ready for a beach day!

I always have a good time with my families but I really had such a great time with this sweet family. I love getting to know everyone more and their stories, where their from, what they do, how did your spouses meet, how's parenthood been for you? I just love learning all of it. Whenever I shoot I always think of the future and what kind of story will the photos tell not only for the now but years down the road when you look back on them.

The Michael Accouncement | Beaufort, SC

Shania and Jacob met with me at a field during sunset so we could take announcement photos of their sweet little one expected on Christmas Eve! I feel like I very rarely shoot IN Beaufort. Most of the time I feel like I'm traveling to Hilton Head or Fripp Island the most. Not at all complaining! It was just nice to only drive 10 mins for this session lol. I also enjoyed the greenery for this session and using this beautiful tree as the backdrop.

The Wiederhold Family | Charleston, SC

I am in love with this family session! I first met Jordan and her family last Fall when she wanted me to take in home newborn/family photos. That session quickly became a favorite and now I gotta say this one is up there too! We met up at a park in Charleston and for the most part had the park to ourselves. Jordan brought the little red wagons to keep her kids occupied and I gotta say it was genius! The little red wagons and apples to end the session with really made this session timeless and unique to them. I just love this family! It's a joy getting to work with them and I look forward to our next session together!

Okay but I'm gonna be obsessing over these for awhileeee. I 👏🏻 love 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 good 👏🏻 sunset. Dara and her husband William were just so sweet and I had the best evening with them. We had beautiful weather and the whole beach to ourselves. It was just perfect. Good company, good weather and a full cup. ❤️

Every year I have a session or two that becomes a top favorite of mine and I have to say that the Wiederfold family is pretty special. Jordan inquired in the Fall for a family session and expressed that she wanted "organic in home family photos with their newborn" and I was like "yes ma'am absolutely I can do that." 🥰 These documentary style photos capturing the crooked frame, silly faces, baby hands, laughs and giggles are my absolute favorite. The best way to photograph your family is to let your kids simply express themselves however that looks - whether it be a playing with their toy train or preferring mommy's lap over daddy's and me snapping away and capturing whatever moments I can for you. ❤️
