Leonard just hit the big 9-0, and what a party it was! Amazing food, plenty of drinks, and friends who clearly didn't want to miss a minute of celebrating this legend.

Highlights from opening weekend at Linden Fields of Beatrice. U pick flowers, vegetables and herbs, and awesome farmstand just south of Beatrice on Hwy 77/Linden Road. So many unique things in the farmstand, local honey from Bee Bums, all kinds of tallow products made by Joleen's daughter Cassidy, dirty soda kits, simmer pot mixes, dips and soup mixes, breads, farm fresh eggs, the list goes on! Be sure to follow Linden Fields for all their updates!

Hats off to my friend Mike for stepping up and running for county sheriff. The election didn't go his way (only 120 vote difference) but he's got the full support of family, friends and lots of community members. I know this isn't the end - whatever he takes on next he's going to tackle it with the same heart and determination he's always had.

Running for any type of political office is tough - I've done it before and it's not easy. Every decision, every word, under a microscope. Sometimes life redirects us, not as a setback, but as a step toward something even better. Here's to making way for better things!!!

Editing update - eeek life has been insane with my full time job, being on call, Kenzie graduated, Stetson started tball, it's planting season. Ok enough excuses. Hager family - I'm working on your final edits. Vanover Mother's Day sneaks are posting tonight, Nathan W. your sneaks are coming in next day or so. Thank you all for being patient. That being said, my weekends are booked up with sessions into August so if you have seniors, most likely you are looking at an evening during the week at this time.
