Growing up on Lake Michigan was a privilege, and the 5 years I was in Iowa sure made summers strange...And I can certainly say, as much as I do miss Ottumwa sometimes, I sure am thankful to be able to go down and sit in the sand and watch the sunset over this beautiful body of water. You can take the girl out of Michigan, but you can never take the Michigan out of the girl!
