Suji and David met us at Little Stony Point Park for their Cold Spring engagement shoot on a late August evening, and this is hands down one of our favorite spots for Hudson Valley engagement photography!! We timed everything for sunset so the light went soft and golden, then melted into pink over the water. These two came ready to have fun too, with beach photos, an outfit change, and even a little dancing on the shore :) They waded right into the river without hesitation, climbed around on the rocks, and wandered through the tall grass while the light kept changing behind them! As Hudson Valley wedding photographers based in Beacon, we love how Little Stony Point Park engagement photos always turn out so dynamic thanks to the mix of beach, trail, and mountain overlook views in one location. Suji and David are already engaged to be married at the Garrison next year, so this session doubled as the perfect warm up since the sweeping Hudson Highlands views feel so similar to the venue itself!

We had the absolute best time planning an engagement photo session at Stonecrop Gardens for Tiffany and Hunter, and as Beacon wedding photographers we always look forward to sessions on these particular grounds!! Stonecrop Gardens gives couples the most peaceful, romantic Hudson Valley engagement photography backdrop with immaculate grounds that stay gorgeous year round. Tiffany and Hunter made the whole shoot feel effortless from start to finish, laughing their way through nearly every single portrait :)

We captured stunning shots inside the sunlit Conservatory where glass panels and lush greenery create such a dreamy atmosphere, then wandered over to the Flower Garden where blooms in every direction gave us some of our favorite images of the day! No Stonecrop Gardens engagement session ever feels complete without a stop at the Wisteria Pavilion and Rock Ledge either, and we even got to meet some of the property's resident animals along the way including a sweet pup named Fanshawe. If you're dreaming of your own Cold Spring engagement photos here, just know the property only opens for photography on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and you'll need a permit ahead of time. Tiffany and Hunter's gallery turned out absolutely gorgeous, and we can't wait to plan more sessions at this stunning Hudson Valley engagement photo location.

Autumn and Casey chose Knotting Hill Farm for their gorgeous summer wedding in the Mohawk Valley, and as their wedding photography team we felt so honored to be there!! The sky stayed clear and bright all day, and we arrived early to soak up the quiet moments before the celebration kicked off. Autumn got ready upstairs in the historic farmhouse with her bridesmaids while Casey prepped in the cozy honeymoon suite nearby, and the two shared their first look beneath a sprawling tree on the property that had us all a little teary!! They later read private vows to each other inside the barn's chapel with its gorgeous restored stained glass windows, and the soft backlighting made for some seriously dreamy photos :)

The ceremony took place right under that same beautiful tree with sunlight dancing through the branches, and afterward guests spilled into cocktail hour with lawn games all across the property! Reception festivities brought fun introductions, heartfelt speeches, and a dance floor that filled up fast, and Casey even snuck outside with his groomsmen for ci**rs under the Mohawk Valley sky. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers we love blending candid storytelling with romantic portraits, and Knotting Hill Farm gave us endless golden light and rustic texture to work with all evening long. Between the historic farmhouse, charming barn, and open fields across the street, it's easy to see why this Central New York venue keeps stealing our hearts!

Ryan and Allison chose a quiet Friday in August for their Wappingers Falls Town Hall wedding, and it was small, sweet, and built entirely around their closest loved ones!! As Hudson Valley wedding photographers based in Beacon, we love this kind of Hudson Valley elopement because there's no long program to worry about, just vows exchanged in the gazebo behind town hall among the people who love them most. The August sun gave everything warm golden light all afternoon, and Ryan and Allison stayed close to each other throughout while their guests cheered quietly just a few feet away :) After the ceremony we grabbed group photos with that gorgeous greenery backdrop, then snuck off to a few quiet corners on the property for portraits where these two were completely relaxed and easy in front of the camera. This Wappingers Falls Town Hall elopement proved that small weddings can still feel so full, and we can't wait for more courthouse wedding days like this one!

We specialize in Hudson Valley proposal photography and we love capturing beach proposal photos in beautiful outdoor settings, and Matt planned a stunning summer morning surprise for Shelby at Long Dock Park right here in Beacon!! Matt came to us with a clear vision, so we recommended Flora Good Times to create gorgeous flower falls and soft rose petals along the shoreline. We met him at sunrise to help set the stage, and he even placed sweet photo cards along the walking path leading Shelby closer and closer to her big surprise :)

When Shelby finally arrived at the flower covered beach setup, Matt took a deep breath, got down on one knee right there in the sand, and asked her to marry him! Her reaction was pure joy, and we captured every second of it with the Hudson Valley scenery glowing softly behind them. Long Dock Park continues to be one of our absolute favorite proposal photography spots in Beacon and Dutchess County thanks to its peaceful beach setting and open river views, and this sweet, thoughtful proposal is exactly why we love this work so much!!

Night two of Morgan & Miguel's wedding weekend brought the most incredible dance floor energy. When your guests show up ready to celebrate like this, you know you've done something right. The way everyone danced the night away at their New York celebration was absolutely wild and so much fun to capture. Two nights of celebration means double the joy and twice the memories. Planning a multi-day wedding weekend in New York? Let's create something beautiful together.

Eloping in the Hudson Valley is one of the most magical ways to celebrate your love, and from riverside overlooks to hidden forest trails, this region has something for every couple. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we're always looking for incredible spots to help you plan a beautiful, intimate wedding, and this guide highlights our favorite elopement ceremony locations where we've photographed meaningful moments.

Best Hudson Valley elopement ceremony locations include Dockside Park in Cold Spring offering panoramic Hudson River views with easy access right from town (no permit needed under 20 people), Little Stony Point bringing adventurous spirit with forest trails plus beach plus rocky overlooks, Long Dock Park in Beacon providing waterfront meadows and walking paths, Vanderbilt Mansion for couples wanting grand architecture, and various charming main streets in Beacon and Cold Spring for cute elopements.

What makes these timeless Hudson Valley elopement ceremony locations so special: accessible without permits for small ceremonies, close to restaurants for celebratory meals afterward, offering variety within small areas for portrait diversity, providing both scenic beauty and privacy, and located near Metro North for easy access from NYC. Dockside Park features golden hour light that looks beautiful in micro-wedding photography with the perfect blend of water views and mountain backdrop, while Little Stony Point is great for couples who want versatile elopement photography spots where you can hike in to find private locations. The romantic elopement location options in Beacon, New York and surrounding areas prove you don't need elaborate venues to create meaningful ceremonies, and honestly some of the most beautiful elopements we've photographed happened in these simple, naturally stunning locations where couples focused entirely on each other rather than elaborate production.

Nicole & Andy's Garrison wedding was proof that weather doesn't make or break your day - your energy does. Rain portraits? They did it. Overcast outdoor ceremony? Beautiful. Wild indoor dance party? Absolutely. This Hudson Valley venue in Garrison New York offers such elegant spaces rain or shine. Big thanks to Hair by Antonella, Allie Vallario Makeup, MD Music DJ, Hudson Valley Flowers, and Pastry Garden Bakery for making this rainy celebration unforgettable. Planning a wedding in the Hudson Valley or Westchester? We'd love to capture your story with both film and digital photography.

The Roundhouse in Beacon is one of those Hudson Valley wedding venues that truly shines during winter celebrations, and we're always excited to photograph there during the colder months. Sitting above Fishkill Creek with exposed brick walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, the venue offers incredible versatility for winter weddings when outdoor options might be limited. What makes The Roundhouse so perfect for winter is how the indoor ceremony space handles natural light beautifully even on shorter winter days, and the twinkling lights combined with the industrial-meets-elegant architecture creates this romantic, intimate atmosphere that feels especially cozy when it's cold outside.

The venue is part of a 51-room boutique hotel, which means couples and their guests can get ready on-site and stay overnight without worrying about winter weather or travel. The restaurant area downstairs with its roaring fireplace provides such a warm space for preparations, while the upper suites offer natural light and comfort for the bridal party. We love photographing winter portraits using the exposed brick exterior for textured shots, and being just steps from Fishkill Creek Overlook Falls gives couples access to stunning natural winter backdrops without having to travel far in the cold. The ceremony space with floor-to-ceiling windows works beautifully for both daytime and evening celebrations, and the venue can accommodate up to 200 guests while maintaining that intimate feel. As Beacon-based photographers, we appreciate how The Roundhouse staff understands winter wedding logistics and ensures everything runs smoothly regardless of weather. The combination of historic charm, modern amenities, on-site hotel accommodations, and those gorgeous views makes The Roundhouse ideal for couples planning winter Hudson Valley weddings who want sophistication without sacrificing warmth and comfort.
