Ali and Alek's SPAF wedding photos are from the kind of day that makes us fall in love with our job all over again. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we love documenting days that blend art, joy, and pure emotion, and their wedding at the Saugerties Performing Arts Factory was the perfect example of how meaningful and fun a celebration can be.

Their SPAF wedding photos in the Hudson Valley with an outdoor ceremony showcased the venue's unique artistic character combined with the natural beauty of the summer setting. The Saugerties Performing Arts Factory provided a creative, unconventional backdrop that perfectly matched their personalities, and the outdoor ceremony took advantage of the gorgeous summer weather.

There is something truly magical about winter in the Hudson Valley because the quiet of the season wraps everything in stillness, and when Caroline and Ernesto reached out about their engagement session we knew it would be special. They wanted photos that captured the raw beauty of the season, and Little Stony Point engagement sessions are always stunning in any weather but a fresh blanket of snow takes everything to the next level. We admire couples who embrace winter for their engagement photos, and Caroline and Ernesto bundled up in gorgeous wool coats with Caroline looking stunning in her belted gray coat and sleek black booties while Ernesto matched perfectly in his navy peacoat making them absolute troopers throughout the chilly afternoon.

We began the session at the overlook at Little Stony Point which is one of our favorite spots for Hudson Valley engagement photography because the view from the top is absolutely worth the climb. We could see the Hudson River stretching out below us where ice was breaking up along the shoreline creating incredible texture, and the snow-covered mountains in the background added dramatic depth as Cold Spring and the surrounding Hudson Highlands looked like a winter wonderland. As Beacon wedding photographers we love chasing beautiful light, and winter afternoons offer something special in this region because the sun sits lower in the sky and creates soft golden tones that made Caroline and Ernesto glow in the afternoon warmth.

After capturing the overlook views we headed down the trail where the bare winter trees created beautiful patterns against the sky making this part of the engagement session feel intimate and romantic. Snow crunched beneath our feet as we explored, and Little Stony Point offers so many varied backdrops from sweeping river views to peaceful forest. Our approach to Hudson Valley engagement photography focuses on real emotion, and we love when couples forget the camera is there like when Caroline's laughter rang out through the quiet woods or when Ernesto whispered something that made her smile so wide capturing the authenticity that makes Little Stony Point engagement sessions so special.

The trail eventually leads down to the rocky beach where Scenic Hudson has preserved such beautiful shoreline, and the beach was covered in snow and ice creating an otherworldly atmosphere for photos. Caroline and Ernesto were up for anything at this point climbing on rocks and walking along the frozen shore as the Hudson River sparkled behind them in every frame. One of our favorite images happened naturally when Ernesto scooped Caroline up in his arms without any prompting and she cradled his face in her hands looking down at him, and the love between them was palpable proving that spontaneous moments always become the most treasured photos. Caroline and Ernesto's winter Little Stony Point engagement session reminded us why we love this work because the quiet beauty of winter in Cold Spring creates intimate, romantic images that capture couples at their most authentic.

Taylor and Nicholas planned their day exactly how they wanted with no frills, no fuss, just love. Their Catskills elopement photos tell the story of a relaxed and deeply personal celebration set at a scenic and peaceful Airbnb, and this summer elopement was full of golden light, intentional details, and pure joy.

Their cozy photos at a cabin in the woods showcased the natural and authentic Catskills elopement photography style we love, focusing on genuine moments rather than elaborate production. The cabin in the woods setting provided both privacy and stunning natural surroundings, and honestly eloping at an Airbnb gave them complete control over their day without venue restrictions or timelines. Their Catskills elopement proved that the most meaningful celebrations often happen in the simplest settings where couples can focus entirely on each other and create a day that truly reflects their relationship rather than wedding industry expectations.

Photographing surprise proposals in Beacon is one of our absolute favorite things to do as local photographers, and honestly being present for these life-changing moments in our own hometown feels so special. Beacon offers incredible diversity for proposal locations, from the waterfront views at Long Dock Park to scenic overlooks and charming spots throughout Main Street. What makes Beacon proposals so magical is how the town blends natural beauty with easy accessibility. Long Dock Park is a perfect example, it provides stunning Hudson River and mountain views without requiring a strenuous hike, which means couples can focus entirely on the moment itself rather than being exhausted from a long walk.

Our documentary-driven style means we stay hidden and discreet during the surprise, allowing the proposal to unfold naturally and authentically. We position ourselves carefully to capture every reaction, the tears, the laughter, the shock, the joy, all those genuine emotions that make the moment so meaningful. After the proposal, we give gentle guidance to help couples relax into portraits because we know being photographed during such an emotional time can feel overwhelming. Timing is crucial for proposal photography, and golden hour in Beacon creates this warm, romantic glow that elevates every image. The light along the Hudson River during sunset is absolutely stunning, and when you add personal touches like live music or meaningful locations, it becomes truly unforgettable. As Beacon-based proposal photographers, we love helping couples plan these special moments in our hometown. Whether you're thinking about Long Dock Park with its fascinating history and waterfront views, or another scenic Beacon location, we'd be honored to capture your engagement story. Thoughtful planning combined with Beacon's natural beauty creates proposal photos that feel authentic, emotional, and timeless.
