Down to earth, sweet as can be, and SO much fun to have in front of my camera. 🤍

I seriously loved getting to spend the evening with this beautiful girl and capture a little piece of her senior year. She made my job way too easy, and we had so much fun soaking in that gorgeous light!

It is seriously hard to believe today is September 1. 🍂

This summer absolutely flew by, but what a summer it was. So many magical sunsets, amazing people, beautiful moments, and SO much goodness captured. ❤️

As we roll into Labor Day weekend, I’ll be entering my annual editing frenzy 😂 and there are going to be SO many galleries landing in your hands!

And can I just say… I am LOVING my new computer. Turns out being forced into an upgrade wasn’t such a terrible thing after all. 😂 It has made such a huge difference, and I am so grateful to be back at it and moving through galleries faster!

But more than anything, I just want to say- THANK YOU!

Thank you to every single person who shares my posts.
Thank you for every like and every comment.
Thank you for recommending my name when someone is looking for a photographer.
Thank you to those who come back year after year.
And thank you to every single person who books with me and continues to keep this little dream and small business of mine going.

I get to spend my evenings chasing pretty light, meeting some of the best people, and freezing little pieces of life that I hope you’ll treasure for years to come—all because of YOU.

A quick editing update:

After almost nine years, my computer finally decided it was time to retire. She was good to me, so I really can’t complain—but she definitely put a wrench in my editing plans!

The good news is that I should have a new computer by this weekend. Editing will resume as soon as I get everything transferred and set up.

And please don’t worry about your photos! Everything is backed up in at least two—and usually three—different places, so all of your images are safe.

I had the very best evening with this sweet girl—just wandering, soaking it all in, and getting to know her along the way. She has the biggest, kindest heart! I truly loved every minute of capturing this special season for her, and I hope she had just as much fun as I did.

Clare | Class of 2027

Truly one of the **sweetest, kindest, most genuine souls**. She is absolutely gorgeous, but it’s who she is that makes her shine even more. So down-to-earth, easygoing, and just an all-around beautiful human.

I loved getting to know her during her senior session and wandering around with her and her sister. We laughed, explored, and soaked up such a beautiful evening. Her outfits were SO cute, and she chose the perfect locations—each one brought a different little piece of her story to life.

That’s one of my favorite things about senior sessions: taking all those pieces that make you *you* and turning them into something you’ll always have to look back on.

Clare, you made my job way too easy. 🤍 I hope you have the absolute BEST senior year. You deserve every bit of goodness headed your way. ✨

As my 2026 summer season starts winding down, I've been taking a hard look at my business and how I can continue giving every client the experience they deserve.

This year has been one of my busiest yet, and I'm incredibly grateful for every family who has trusted me to capture their memories. With that growth, I've realized it's time to make some updates to my packages and pricing so I can continue giving my whole heart to every session while providing the experience you've come to expect.

Like so many small businesses, the cost of doing business has continued to increase. From the SD cards I use—which have doubled in price—to the many behind-the-scenes expenses that go into every session, it's become necessary to adjust my pricing. While it's never an easy decision, it's one that allows me to continue investing in my business and delivering the quality and experience you deserve.

Beginning October 1, 2026, updated pricing and package options will go into effect.

If you already have a session booked, don't worry—your quoted pricing will be honored, even if your session takes place after October 1. Any new bookings made on or after October 1 will use the updated pricing.

One of the biggest changes will be my mini sessions. Going forward, mini sessions will be $225. These are the sessions I offer just a few times each year at a predetermined location, most often at my outdoor studio.

As a small thank you to the clients who continue to trust me year after year, returning clients will receive a special discount on all mini sessions. It's my way of showing my appreciation for your continued support and for allowing me to capture your family's story through the years.

You'll also notice some package adjustments that give you more flexibility while allowing me to continue offering the personalized experience that means so much to me.

Most of all, I want you to know how much I appreciate each and every one of you. I know photography is an investment, and the fact that you choose to include me in your budget means more than I can put into words. There are so many talented photographers out there, and I never take for granted that you've chosen me to preserve some of your most meaningful moments.

Thank you for supporting my small business, encouraging my dream, and allowing me to do what I love. It is because of all of you that Julie Lacy Photography continues to grow, and I truly can't wait to continue creating memories with you for years to come.

Maddie | Quinceañera

It may have been an absolutely HOT day—and I mean hot, hot—but Maddie didn’t let it take away from a single moment. She looked absolutely breathtaking in her gorgeous dress, and every detail of the day was so perfect and so completely her.

A quinceañera is such a beautiful milestone—a celebration of who she is, how much she is loved, and the young woman she is becoming. Maddie was surrounded by so much love and support, and she truly deserved every beautiful moment of this day.
