My dearest friend was stressing about potentially having to change her wedding plans due to COVID-19 and I shared some advice with her. I hope it can help others in the same situation.

My entire wedding almost went out the door completely due to vendor issues after months of planning and 30+ people traveled out of the country for it. I was terrified. All my planning. All my stressing. All the nights paying attention to every last detail was about to slip from my fingertips. Finally we were able to go ahead and at the end of the day it was perfect. I was married to my best friend and couldn’t be happier.

No matter what happens or how, you two will be married. It will be beautiful. It’s not wrong to have fear about it or worry. But try try try not to let it take away the fun and excitement of being engaged. I stressed sooooo much the whole week of my wedding thinking it wouldn’t pan out and I regret that I was so invested with trying to make it work vs just enjoying time with family and friends. So many people have perfect memories of that week and I feel like I wasn’t there for most of them because I was engulfed in trying to fix it. You can’t fix anything right now. You can simply just wait and see and know that eventually you will marry the love of your life. This will pass. No matter where, no matter when, no matter how- you will be together.
