The worst thing you can do as a photographer is making your clients move from one location to another trying to find the “perfect” location.📸

And I use the word “perfect” very loosely. Every time you move locations it messes with your creative flow state, the lighting changes and ultimately frustrates your clients. “Like why do we keep moving?” And then that messes up your client experience. They’re more likely to hate the time they spent with you and hate their images.💔

1️⃣ Location = ♾️ Poses and Angles

This session with Jacey and Tyler was a 30min session, and in that time I was able to produce an entire gallery that at the beginning of my career would’ve taken me 1.5hr session to get.⏰ And these are just the 5 images from their gallery!

I’m all about efficiency!🙌

I’ve taken multiple photography courses over the years, and the best one I’ve taken was the Posing & Client Experience Course from 🎉

❌Don’t let anyone put you down. Don’t let other people steal your joy. Don’t give them control over you. Take back your power and stand up for yourself.💪

❌Don’t let your work define you.(this one’s for me). So much of my identity is tied to my success as a business owner, person, mother, friend, etc. I need to remind myself daily of where my identity comes from—Jesus Christ.💖

❌Don’t compare yourself to others.⭐️ It’s okay to stand in your own space and just..be. We’re all on our own journey and no two paths are the same.🚗

If I told you these pictures were taken on the side of the road next to a barbed wire fence in Texas, would you believe me?!🇨🇱

I second shot this wedding with back in January of 2016 on one of the coldest days on record in San Antonio at and we almost lost our fingers to frostbite taking pictures once the sun went down!❄️

When the guests were transitioning to the cocktail hour we snuck away to capture bridal party shots and romantics for the couple with their hotrod car. But all we could find was the shoulder of the two lane highway.🚧

So we had to stretch our creativity with different angles and cropping in, and we pulled off these amazing shots that I’m still proud to share many years ago!📸

Can’t wait to shoot another wedding with her coming up in two weeks!🎉
