Long, emotional post ahead, guys. You’ll want to read it…
Running a business is no doubt a roller coaster full of ups and downs, and this year we’ve had a lot of both. But going through all of those pivotal moments has really allowed us to take a step back and reassess the direction we want our lives to go. It was mind-boggling to us when we realized we’ve been doing this for a third of our lives already! There are SO many things we love about it, including all of our wonderful clients, but we’ve also learned that this is a really tough and misunderstood industry, and we’re just tired.
We’ve given every single thing we have to this business, and honestly, we’re burnt out and desperate for a change. And although change is scary, we also know it’s necessary for growth.
We don’t know what the future holds at this point, but we’re excited and optimistic to see what comes next for us. With that being said, we have decided to not open up booking for 2025. We’ve thought long and hard about this for months, and it was not with ease that we came to this decision. Know it when we say that we’re heartbroken to walk away from this, and we’ll miss photographing all of your beautiful families.
We know that photography is a luxury service, and we’ve always pushed ourselves to give the absolute best experience that we could, so THANK YOU for seeing the value in us, and for sticking with us even in this tough economy! We’re grateful that although we won’t be able to capture new memories for you, we were able to be a part of some of your biggest milestones. That’s an honor that we’ll never forget.
And to all of our First-Year Package clients who will be ongoing into next year, don’t worry! We will still finish off your remaining sessions, and we will be contacting you individually to discuss options.
