Summer is over - but the fun isn't! I made two trips to Belle Isle in August and LOOK! What a beautiful setting for a beautiful girl!

Katie is the daughter of my childhood best friend. I love that we're still in each other lives. 😍👭 I first photographed Katie when she was a baby, and now here she is, looking all grown up and gorgeous!

I love that her style ranged from Bridgerton to casual teen. Capturing their various looks and personalities is my favorite thing about working with high school seniors. 🎓

Not your Mother's Head Shot!

One of my busier summer dates was filled with several on location head shots (I bring the studio to you!) Some were the classic style needed in the business world 👨‍💼, but Tina here asked for a little bit more and I love the result!

This was our third time working together, before that was senior and family portraits, so our session was more like catching up with old friends. Repeat clients are the best! 👏

I love this image so much because it represents her personality, laugh, and is just a great portrait of her. Selfies and phone photos just aren't the same as professional lighting and posing. Good head shots make a difference, Trust Me. Contact me to schedule yours today!

Wow! What an experience to create senior portraits inside the Michigan State Capitol! Sometimes while I'm shooting, and often in editing, I'll keep saying to myself, THESE ARE SO COOL! I had the same feeling with this session. The whole time I was thinking, WOW. Just Wow.

This photogenic sprite is Haze, an Okemos senior who added so much personality to her images by just being...her. She had distinct ideas of what she wanted and we worked together to create some beautiful and unique senior portraits. She has a certain joie de vivre that really was an inspiration to photograph. I mean - look at her! Look!

Outside we had a perfect afternoon on the Capitol grounds. The architecture and original details are so impressive and really are more than just a background. They're part of the portrait. So cool.

As I was creating these images, I just knew several had to be black and white. Her style, the architecture, the feeling of it all - it all screamed black and white. Of course, I like the images in both ways, but sometimes black and white is just what you need. *chef's kiss*

So here is Haze and I think these portraits really captured her essence. Her personality. Her. That's what my job is all about. And I love it!

From coworkers, to friends, to clients… definitely one of my favorite kinds of connections!😊

This sweet family had me laughing the entire session while we battled the wind in downtown Bay City 🌬️ Between the jokes, the chaos, and the genuine love they have for each other, this session was such a joy!

And these kids?! So kind, polite, and fun — seriously the best. What a beautiful family inside and out!
