Aubree’s ONE! 🎂🛁🤍

This sweet girl was absolutely adorable for her Smash & Splash session! She did such a great job with her cake smash—digging in, making a mess, and looking pretty darn cute while doing it. 🎂✨

Then it was time for the splash portion… and let’s just say Aubree was not nearly as impressed with bath time. 😂🛁 Sometimes those unsure little expressions end up being some of my favorite photos!

Senior sessions are even more fun when they bring you to a place as beautiful as Cuyuna!

This Glencoe senior and her family vacation in the Brainerd Lakes Area every year, so it was pretty special to capture her senior photos while they were up here. We had such a great evening exploring the Cuyuna Recreation Area and taking advantage of all the gorgeous scenery it has to offer.

I absolutely love that so many of my seniors come from all over Minnesota and choose to have their senior photos taken while vacationing in the area. It makes their session unique AND gives them a little piece of their favorite vacation spot to take home with them. 🥰

Meet sweet baby Beckett. 🤍

Beckett made his entrance into the world 6 weeks early, and I had the privilege of photographing him just shy of 2 months old—57 days new and still only about 6.5 pounds.

And you would have never guessed he was almost two months old! He curled right up and slept through his session just like a brand-new newborn. 🥹

This is such a beautiful reminder that there isn’t a strict deadline for newborn photos—especially for babies who arrive a little earlier than planned. We can follow baby’s lead, adjust for their size and development, and still capture all those sweet, sleepy newborn details.

Beckett, you were an absolute dream to photograph. 🤍

Had such a great time capturing Jack’s senior photos at Breezy Point! 📸

Breezy Point is a special place for Jack and his family—they spend most weekends here during the summer—so it made the perfect backdrop for his senior session.

One thing I absolutely love about photographing seniors in the Brainerd Lakes Area is that so many of them come to me from all over Minnesota and even out of state. Instead of the same locations everyone back home is using, they get senior photos that feel a little more unique, personal, and original.

And what better place to document senior year than somewhere already filled with great memories? ❤️

There are some sessions that feel more like spending an evening with friends than working, and this was definitely one of them.

This wonderful family spends so many weekends making memories in Breezy Point, and I had the honor of capturing them all together before we focused on their senior. You know it’s going to be a fun session when Dad shows up with a few beers for the adults! 🍻

So much laughter, so many genuine moments, and the perfect reminder that family photos don’t have to feel stiff or stressful. I’m sharing the family portion of their session first… stay tuned because their senior portraits are just as incredible!

I can’t believe it has been 2 weeks since I have posted. I have been so busy shooting and editing that I haven’t posted. I just finished up this session of Ella’s. Her and her siblings have been going to Trout Lake Camps for several years now. Her senior year she came back to work, not as a camper. All I can say this is an amazing camp. I had so much fun exploring the grounds with her. This was up there as one of my all time favorite sessions.

There’s something special about family vacations at the lake—the slower pace, time spent together, and memories that will be talked about for years to come.

I had the pleasure of photographing the Thompson family during their stay at The Acorn in Crosslake. What a beautiful setting to capture this season of life! From laughter on the deck to exploring the property together, every photo tells a story of time well spent with the people who matter most.

Some sessions mean a little more because of the relationships built over the years. ❤️

This amazing family has been vacationing at Grand View Lodge each summer, and this is the 5th year I’ve had the privilege of photographing them. Watching their family grow and celebrating each new season of life together has truly been an honor.

This year was especially meaningful as we celebrated this beautiful young lady’s senior year. She trusted me to capture such an important milestone, and that trust means more than I can put into words. Stepping in front of the camera can feel overwhelming at times, but she handled the session with such grace, authenticity, and quiet confidence. Her genuine smile and beautiful spirit shine through every image.

Thank you for inviting me back year after year and for allowing me to preserve these memories for your family. It is a privilege I never take for granted.
