With the 4Runner build mostly complete, I hit the forest roads in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest to revisit Corner Rock.
I had previously visited many years ago, but the low clearance on the mini van stopped us about a mile from the top.
Our first stop along the way was the Mountain View 4x4 Trailhead. The ridgeline trail follows steep & rough logging roads with spectacular views of Clark County.
After exploring the trail we headed on, stopping at our second location, Dougan Falls. I was planning on testing the drone more on waterfalls, but cut the session short due to the amount of folk using the falls as a swimming hole.
After lunch we took the last leg of the trip up to 3 Corner Rock. The roads get progressively rougher as you climb, but the views from the top make it worth it!
We made use of the rocky path up to top to really test to the capabilities of the 4Runner, and where not disappointed. The 4Runner easily tackled everything we threw at it on this run.
Make sure to stay tuned for more of our adventures around Cascadia!
