Loowit Photo Fine art prints from the Pacific Northwest and the Cascade Mountains by Tim and Rachel

The Pacific Northwest is home to some of the most incredible landscapes and scenery on the world. It is this magnificent land that has driven my love for photography, and my desire to share it with others. I got started taking photos when my daughter was born, capturing the moments in her life. As we traveled around the Northwest I captured the places and things we saw and explored. In the last 9

years my equipment has upgraded and improved, and the places we have gone have moved from the common tourist traps to the off the road, backwoods, hard to find spots that not many get to see. I am always trying to find landmarks from a new and unique perspective, and it is my desire to share these adventures with you. I will be posting links to my newest work I have up for sale on www.cascadiamountainphotog.com, as well as telling the backstory of my adventures on my blog at www.timpadget.com

Almost done working through my thousand shot time lapse from Friday night.
Burned through 2 batteries, but it was worth it! For now here's a quick teaser from the cell while the Nikon was cranking away!

After a busy summer, we finally got back on the trails at the end of September.
Our entrance fees for the trail run went towards Northwest Battle Buddies, a local non-profit that trains service dogs for military veterans.
Our trail took us to the top of Lookout Mountin, then we sorta got lost on Soda Lost Road in the search for Soda Peaks, but the drone still got the shot!

Great day out in the Cascades with Offroad Toy Outfitters on a trail run today!

We took advantage of an early december snow fall to go play in the mountians.
When we had been up a week earlier there was no snow yet on the road up to Mt Silver Star, so we decided to check the conditions with the snow coming down.

There was a fresh coat as we made our way higher, but nothing deep yet. We had hoped for some snow covered views near the top, but the windy conditions and active snowfall left us in a grey haze.

The dreive back down was more challenging as our weight worked against us on the thin snowpack, causing us to slide in palces, but we finally made it down safe.

Stay tuned for our return at the end of the year, it's been snowing up there non-stop since!

October hit and all the major work for the 4Runner was fully complete, so we took a week to explore SE Oregon.

Our final destination was the Steens Mountains and the Alvord Desert, with a lot of miles to cover in between.

We stopped over at the Priest Hole Recreation site for our first night after exploring the Paint Hills. Unfortunately I lost the SD card that had our Painted Hills footage!

After a peaceful night camping on the banks of the John Day River we explores the rough roads of the site before hitting the highway towards the Alvord Desert!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we meetup with Offroad Toy Outfitters to go find snow in the Gifford Pinchot!

The drive out was fantastic, transitioning from rainy fall scenery to a winter wonderland as we ascended into the mountains.

We finally found a good spot to play in the snow and do some crawling through a few troughs and give our rigs a good test.

The journey was well worth it!

Stay tuned as I work though Octobers expedition out to the Alvord Desert and get that posted soon!

With the 4Runner build mostly complete, I hit the forest roads in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest to revisit Corner Rock.

I had previously visited many years ago, but the low clearance on the mini van stopped us about a mile from the top.

Our first stop along the way was the Mountain View 4x4 Trailhead. The ridgeline trail follows steep & rough logging roads with spectacular views of Clark County.

After exploring the trail we headed on, stopping at our second location, Dougan Falls. I was planning on testing the drone more on waterfalls, but cut the session short due to the amount of folk using the falls as a swimming hole.

After lunch we took the last leg of the trip up to 3 Corner Rock. The roads get progressively rougher as you climb, but the views from the top make it worth it!

We made use of the rocky path up to top to really test to the capabilities of the 4Runner, and where not disappointed. The 4Runner easily tackled everything we threw at it on this run.

Make sure to stay tuned for more of our adventures around Cascadia!
