If Romeo + Juliet's families had gotten over their feud, this is exactly what the wedding would have looked like. From the location, to the dress change, the father/daughter matching tattoos, and the incredible dance party, it was a wedding for the ages.

This week I was creating baby portraits. Babies are fantastical creatures. They consume you in every good and terrible way. And as you emerge from their grasp, you find a love like no other. A love for someone else. And if you're lucky, a love of yourself too. At least that's what I hope parents feel when they look back on their baby's photos. Wow, that was a time. We survived. Wow, we were all so beautiful. Yes. Yes, you were. You are now too.

As we approach the end of 2022, it's that time of the year when people begin to wonder if they have an appropriate photo for Christmas cards. If you're still searching, I've set-up a one day mini-session schedule this year. The package includes a guarantee of at least one appropriate Christmas photo.

Saturday, October 8 from 8am-1am (9 spots)

Location: Calvin College Cross Country Running Trails (over by the Prince Conference Center)

$200 – 15 minutes of photography time and digital files of all of your best photos. I guarantee at least 20 files but it's often closer to 40. I'll give you two copies of the images, both in color and black + white.

For the first time, I'm planning to do mini-sessions. You could use these for Christmas photos, a quick family photo update, or just proof that you and your family got together one time. It's up to you!

I'm planning to do a session in Grand Rapids (Nature/Woodland setting) and another in Allegan on a mini-tree farm.

Saturday, November 13th (9-11am)
Sunday, November 14th (2-5pm)

$175 - About 15 minutes of shooting time and I'll give you all of the best photos (at least 15 images) in both color and black and white. You'll have them before the end of the month so that you can still get in your Christmas card orders :)
