Summer break may be over, but we’re still daydreaming about pool days.

I really love how my families have been making their sessions their own lately. Because honestly, your family doesn’t have to show up and do the same thing everyone else is doing.

If your favorite thing to do together is spend the day at the pool, then let’s go to the pool.

If you love baking cookies together, playing outside, going on walks, getting ice cream, or whatever it is that feels like your family—I want to photograph that.

I truly believe that doing something that is unique to your family makes your photos not only more beautiful, but more memorable, too. Years from now, I want you to look back at these photos and remember exactly what this season of life felt like.
And honestly, it’s pretty hard not to have fun when you’re doing something you already love doing together.

There’s just something about a beach at golden hour. Add two people who are completely in love and I’m basically done for.

This evening was so simple and so good.

Barefoot in the sand, running around by the water, laughing, pulling each other close, and just enjoying being together.

The light was absolutely unreal, the waves were doing their thing, and everything just felt easy.

These are the kind of evenings I hope they remember years from now…not just how beautiful it looked, but how it felt to be here, together, right before they became husband and wife.
