I'm the owner and photographer of Double Windsor Photography. I specialize in wedding photography in and around Louisiana. I got into photography to help people smile and have FUN while capturing memories that truly define people. I love bold shots that grab your attention and jump off the page. I’m taking a break from the standard portfolio posts today. This month marks 1 year since my mom started this journey. It’s been painful for her. It’s also been scary and sad. Something it’s also been is enlightening. She has been able to see the kind of support she really has in her community. My mom has collected such an amazing group of friends that truly rallied, and continue to provide comfort and support. She is so grateful every day. To say that I admire my mother is such an understatement. Even in the worst moments of her illness, even in the darkest and most terrifying minutes before each sedation - she seeks to give comfort to me when she sees how scared I am for her. That’s strength. That’s love. Whatever else you want to call it, it’s an energy with warmth that transcends time, space, and failures of communication. I am so incredibly proud of my mother for always being a monument to what a person can be in the face of such awful trial. I love you so damn much.
