This is so true! I can easily take hundreds of photos of a single event. This article gives some good tips for keeping the number of your images manageable.

With all of the flooding and other disasters that have plagued us recently, this is very timely information. Maybe you have a prized photo that needs some extra "love" and attention. Here are instructions from the professionals on how to rescue that photo.

1. First remove any dirt, mud or sand on the surface using a soft bush. If you do not have a brush or if the photo prints are wet, proceed to Step 2. Be sure to wear thin rubber gloves. We recommend the use of medical gloves or gloves used for handling food.

This touches on an issue that I mention to my clients all the time. With technology changing rapidly, printing your favorite pictures and placing them in an album is the best way to ensure that you can "access" them decades from now.

The New York Times recently ran an article surveying the future prospects of the DVD disk. The short version: it’s on its way out. Not today, not tomorrow, but the writing is on the wall: the DVD is becoming obsolete.
