We had some cuties at our TylerDog Photography rescue shoot at Fairfax Animal Control this week. Let's introduce the Fairfax Trio and please share, share, share!
PULLED BY ARF TULSA!!! OSCAR. "I'm scared..." If Oscar had a tagline, that's what it would be. He had an owner at one time, but they never came for him. Now he's in a rural shelter where it's loud and lonely, so he's scared.
When we took his photos, he told us in no uncertain terms, "Don't touch me, I will bite you" and we respected that. We sat quietly around him, gave him the space he deserved, and after awhile, he actually took a few steps toward us. He never let us pet him, but it was progress.
That tells me Oscar can learn to trust again. He needs an understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he'll need to learn humans aren't all bad. It may take a week, it may take a month, it may take several months, but Oscar can get there with the right human to love him.
Oscar is a beautiful little 3-year-old Miniature Dachshund.
PULLED BY LAB RESCUE, OK!!! LUCY. Lucy might have some "'splainin' to do" when you find her snuggled up in the middle of your bed! This sweet little girl is a cuddle bug and all she wanted to do during her photo shoot was lie on the grass and look at us adoringly! If you want a chill snuggle bug, Lucy's your girl!
Lucy is a 14-week-old Lab / Heeler mix and Ethel's sibling.
ETHEL. Ethel is a firecracker! She's the one who'll be all up in your business askin' "Whatcha doing? Where we going? Can I come? Wanna play?" She is a happy little girl with a bunch of energy and love to give the right family.
Ethel is a 14-week-old Heeler mix and Lucy's sibling.
