Kumar Krishnan Photography Landscapes. Cityscapes. Blue hour moods. Photography waited patiently. A long-dormant camera finally woke up in 2020 and never went back to sleep.

Thank you for sharing the ride 🙏🏼

Friends and family often ask how I create my photos. My mentor Jerry Poppenhouse once told me, “A photographer sees things differently. It’s all about using light and composition to tell a story.”

This was taken at a bar in Copenhagen. At first glance, nothing special. But with the right angle, a bit of cropping, and editing, it became a unique perspective. You don’t need a fancy camera to create art.

Blue hour in Bartlesville brought the Price Tower and Downtown to life in a way daylight never can.

Slowing down, exploring different perspectives, and waiting for the moment helped guide this unique composition which made a familiar landmark interesting.

In the middle of a snowstorm, I noticed this tiny foxtail seed head pushing through fresh snow, crowned with frozen droplets.

A quiet reminder that beauty doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it simply waits to be seen.

Nature is always creating art. We just have to slow down enough to notice.

Sometimes just light, atmosphere, and simplicity works.

The mist acts as a natural diffuser, softening contrast and letting the layers of trees slowly fade into one another. Felt that a B&W rendition should alter the distractions of a full color image.

A slow shutter and intentional camera movement let the lights paint themselves across the frame. The skyline blur into energy, traffic becomes rhythm, and the water stays calm.

This isn’t a frozen moment. It’s light over time.

Bonus: Can you name the city? There are some subtle clues in the photograph 😀

The Festival of Lights at the gardens of Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma was fantastic.

Every corner offered a new play of light, color, and reflection, especially when combined with a light show, was a perfect inspiration for the lens 📸😀

🎉 HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎉

As we turn the page to a brand-new year, I’m excited to share that my new photography website will be launching in the coming days.

So why the change? My current site—built with Zenfolio—has served me well over the years and does a great job showcasing my work. However, it has limited tools especially for e-commerce and marketing.

I’m making the move to a SquareSpace platform, which offers far more flexibility and new features—especially for my style of photography.

📸 Stay tuned for the official launch announcement soon!

Cheers to all for seeking new heights 🥂🛫

One of those moments where everything just lined up creating one of my favorite wildlife photos.

A split-second story told by the way he grips the leaf, with air bubbles rising and part of his body breaking the surface.

Nature, timing and a little luck 😀📸o
