Some day I WILL eventually post some pics of all of the beautiful families, newborns and high school seniors I've worked with lately. Promise. But until then, here is another gorgeous wedding Ryan and I photographed. 🥰
A few things to note...
1) I'm in charge of choosing the "sneak peek" images and I always choose way too many. Sorry, not sorry.
2) This wedding was an absolute blast and one for the books. Beautiful downtown Chicago venue, amazing couple, a dance floor that we ourselves wanted to dance on... yes, yes, and yes please.
3) It would be hard to find better grooms than Jonathan and Will. They were the coolest, kindest, and funniest men ever and they don't know this yet but on our way home we decided they are going to be our new best friends.
4) They told us they were going to do a last minute surprise choreographed dance. I'm going to be real honest here... when a couple says that it doesn't always mean they will pull it off well. But my god. Absolutely not, this dance should have been on the finale of Dancing With the Stars, and won. Seriously. Incredible.
5) I just want to say, my very favorite person to work with is my husband. He makes the day feel like anything but work and we work together like a well oiled machine. Know anyone that has a wedding coming up? Holla this way! Although we have a pretty full 2026 we are booking 2027 now!

My gosh I loved seeing this family again, especially since they've added a new addition since I saw them last. We spent a crazy hot evening walking around their farm, spending time with the animals and catching smiles any chance we could.

I love a good backyard summer session for families, and this family was extra sweet! The kids are right at home (literally) and everything feels more relaxed and natural. This little guy just turned one and learned to walk just days before our shoot, so I got to capture those fresh wobbly steps in his front yard. 🥰

Summer update over here (with a pretty pic for your attention)...
Lots of you have been emailing asking if I'll be doing family and high school senior sessions this summer since I've gone back to teaching full time. The answer is "absolutely YES" and I can't wait to get back to seeing all of the families I have loved working with over the years! However, I just wrapped up teaching, photographed a wedding, and one of my daughters is getting married in 8 days (OMG) and so right now all of my brain cells are focused on prepping for that special day and recovering from my first year back in first grade! :)
So, after June 14th, I'm free as a bird and will be getting all of those sessions scheduled. Thank you for all of your patience with this busy mom!
P.S.- If you don't mind, please give this photo a little love with a sweet comment for this couple, that helps my post show up on my client's feeds. FB is tricky like that.
