Gilded Age Period Photography 1860-1910

Gilded Age Period Photography 1860-1910 By 1860 Daguerreotypes had faded. Ambrotypes were becoming obsolete as cameras began using glass negatives to produce contact prints.

This period of time also placed cameras in the hands of the public. Camera clubs formed and photography became art.
