of course i was up tossing and turning about my
embarrassing live video.
so here i am to explain it.
let’s say that you are VERY talented at something. you know that you are. you’ve honed your craft for years and years and pour so much joy and love into what you do. let’s say you are a woodworker, or painter, or potter, or song writer. (to name a few)
someone reaches out to you and RAVES about your art. absolutely LOVESSSS it & they really want to work with you. they hire you for their most important life event. so you GET. TO. WORK. this event consumes you in the best way. you are smiling ear to ear while crafting for them, so so proud weeks later when you’ve finally put the finishing touches on your art. you have butterflies when dropping the piece off to your client, so over the moon with how it turned out. some of your best work. you leave it at their address since no one was home. ✨ with a little note about it being early because you were
too excited to not be up at all hours working on it and couldn’t wait to deliver it.✨
then nothing. NOTHING.
did they receive it!? did you have the wrong address?! did they absolutely hate what you created?!
THAT right there. that self doubt is heartbreaking. & that is why i speak up about it every year.
please don’t do this to people. artists are pouring so much into what we do. it’s in our blood. we HAVE to create. and when we are creating FOR SOMEONE. the self doubt it real.
