We experienced first hand how in the blink of an eye, life can change in an instant. To everyone who has shown up, called, text, sent meals, supplied me with caffeine, offered anything they could, prayed and hugged on us - a simple thank you will never be enough. We are so overwhelmed with gratitude for the tribe of people we have in our circle & could not have made it through this last week without y’all.
Daniel is finally home recovering from having blood clots in his lungs. While he has made it out of ICU after 5 days, he is still very critical. Blood clots are in places that are life threatening so if you would, pray with us that we can avoid any kind of stroke, pulmonary embolism, or heart-attacks from the movement of these clots. Pray for the doctors in our path forward at Emory, that they would know the next steps toward complete healing.
I will •NEVER• forget the tone in the ER doctors voice when he took me outside of Daniels room and told me “If he had not come in tonight, you would have had the worst morning of your life tomorrow.”
And an extra special thank you to my fire fighter brother in law, Joe Stevens who gave Daniel the push to say yes to going to the hospital, I will always believe you saved his life. ♥️
