I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of watching a moonrise with that warm orange glow.

This is one of my favorite older photos, captured as the Moon rose through a layer of sea haze. The atmosphere softened its light and turned the horizon into something almost surreal.

It’s moments like these that remind me to keep looking up.

Sometimes we think a photo has given us everything it’s ever going to give.

This image sat on a hard drive for years. I loved the morning I captured it, but I never felt like I had fully done it justice. Looking back at it now—with a few more years of experience—I decided to revisit it.

Instead of processing a single frame, I stacked 16 separate images together to reduce noise and reveal details that were always there, just waiting to be uncovered. The part that still amazes me is that this wasn’t captured with a camera most people would choose for astrophotography. It was taken with a humble Fujifilm X100F—a fixed-lens street camera that probably wasn’t designed with the Milky Way in mind.

Lately, I’ve realized that photography has a lot in common with life. Sometimes we look back at something we thought was finished and discover it still has more to offer. Sometimes all it needs is a fresh perspective.

I hope you enjoy this new version as much as I enjoyed bringing it back to life.

After the sun had nearly set, the Judges Shack caught the last warm light of the day while the sky settled into soft pastels. No spectacular storm, no dramatic waves—just a quiet moment on the Jersey Shore that reminded me why I love getting out for photography.

Sometimes the best part isn’t coming home with a photo. It’s simply being there to witness it.

Unique Photo puts together some great workshops. I recently just signed up for more as a nudge to keep photographing and sharing the love of photography with others.

Had a great, much-needed outing with Unique Photo and Jack Fusco Photography at Island Beach State Park, NJ.

I don’t get out as often anymore for landscape or astrophotography—and that’s okay. It just makes workshops like this feel that much more special when I do.
