Honestly, there's nothing sunshine and horses can't fix 💞🐴 This scene resets my nervous system everytime! (My Jericho). Let's capture video shorts of your horse this year during your photography session! Ask me about a video add-on!

If you’re an adult rider, you already know how this goes.

There’s always something more urgent than photos.

Board. Vet bills. Farrier.
Truck repairs. Show fees. Life.

So documenting your horse?
It stays low on the list.

Not because it doesn’t matter—
but because everything else feels more necessary.

And then one day you realize you’ve had this horse for years…
and there’s nothing that really reflects that.

Not in a finished, intentional way.

Just a handful of phone photos in between everything else.

At some point, it’s less about waiting for the right time
and more about deciding it’s worth doing anyway.

If that’s where you’re at, let's talk! Today is the last day of Midwest Horse Fair, stop by and see how you can honor the story you've lived with your horse in a beautiful way with Albums & Wall Art from your 2026 session.

When it came time to choose what to do with her images…
Hanna and her mom didn’t hesitate.
They wanted an album.
Not just for now—but for what comes next.
Because she was leaving for college.
And suddenly this chapter—this horse, this routine, this life—wouldn’t look the same anymore.
So we created:
A 9x12 linen album for home
And a smaller duplicate for her to take with her.
Same images. Two places. One story.
A physical place for her images to live so she doesn't have to go looking for a dusty hard drive or old phone in 10 years for the digitals. She already has them waiting for her, ready to be pulled off the shelf 💞

The smallest details are usually the most personal.
For Hanna, that meant bringing in cowhide textures and subtle western elements that tied everything together.
Not overdone.
Just enough to feel like her world.
Because the goal isn’t to create a “Pinterest version” of your session.
It’s to create something that feels like your life—just seen a little more clearly.

“I’ll do it when things slow down.”

That’s what almost everyone tells me.

After the busy season.
After the next milestone.
After life feels a little less full.

But for most adult riders, that moment doesn’t really show up.

The horse stays. The routine stays.
Life just keeps stacking on top of it.

And years go by without ever documenting the one thing that’s been consistent through all of it.

Not in a rushed phone photo—
but in a way that actually honors the investment & love you’ve poured into your horse over time.

If you’ve had your horse for years and keep putting this off, you’re not alone.
But it might be time to move it out of the “someday” category.

Stop by to see me and talk sessions this weekend at the Midwest Horse Fair. Trust me, this is one thing future you will absolutely thank you for. 💞

Not every image needs to feel styled.
Some of the most meaningful ones come from what feels… normal.
Jeans. A quiet moment. Walking with your horse the way you always do.
Hanna’s casual look brought out something different—something softer, more familiar.
The kind of moments that don’t feel like milestones when you’re living them…
But mean everything later.

That’s what we’re really capturing.
