I’ve finally booked my trip to Acadia National Park. I haven’t posted a lot to social media- my overall work has slowed due to, well, life stuff, but I can’t wait to make more beautiful Downeast™️ material. I haven’t been in 4 or 5 years. May can’t come soon enough 😍.

Acadia National Park from several years ago. I was still new to processing Milky Way images, and at this point I could rip this photo apart. But it takes me back to this time and place, above Boulder Beach, walking back to my car after my ass went numb sitting on one of aforementioned boulders, taking shot after shot of the Milky Way.

A major coronal mass ejection has caused a G3 storm (I think) that has flipped poles a couple times but now *may* have the potential to give some spectacular aurora in are area. I just went out to my driveway and looked up at partially clear skies. Will I venture forth? It’s cold out, man! Photo from the 2024 August aurora which frankly makes every one one since them kind of “meh” for me 😂

Nubble Lighthouse - York, Maine. I shot this with my Nikon D7200 back in maybe 2019/2020, and since then I’ve shot it several times thereafter, hoping to catch the right weather conditions again with my Nikon Z7- but no such luck yet!
