I’m a happy Alanon Member - was raised by 2 alcoholic parents. 13 of my almost 63 years, I’ve been helped by many slogans. I am challenged when I need to sit still. So I doodle. It came to me to doodle the slogans. The 1st one I did was “Keep it Simple” and the art is crazy busy, just like life. How does one apply that when life is complicated and crazy? It’s an inside job! I was not feeling “ready” to work on art. Yet I had a thought to ask how it works to be a display artist at a local community meal. My thoughts were to display existing pieces, then I set up a table in our home, brought out my 60 year MDI seaglass collection and began creating ! I’m so glad I did.

Such sadness for these families who have lost their loved ones just a post on here because we recently had a kayak for sale and when the person came to the desk they had seen the pictures but they thought it was a sea kayak in it isn’t so immediately thank God they said we’re here for the kayak and we said it is not a kayak so I change the listing to actually word that it’s a freshwater kayak Because we would never ever ever suggest someone take it out into the ocean so we started talking to them about the ocean here and they said they were from Alabama and just came for the season to work and they knew nothing about the tide yet they were going to buy a kayak and go out to the ocean. Please our ocean water temperature is between 50 and 60° between spring and fall the tide is 9 to 13 feet with the course of the moon there are summer squalls there are all kinds of surprises out there go with a guide. Please go with a guide. Please always wear your life vest. Please be informed. This is not the first one this summer.
